APOSTROPHEVERSE

I've posted here before without much feedback, so I thought I'd try it again!

I'm in the middle of writing a Firefly concept album under the stage name 'Verse. It's a mix of ambient/trance type stuff and Synthpop/Triphop. Think Imogen Heap meets La Roux (if you're familiar with electronic Brit music)... just with my own personal touches.

I'm trying to get as many Firefly fans on board as early as possible; things are taking off much faster than expected, but only 1 out of every 50 fans or so is a Browncoat. It's no fun! I feel like my lyrics and song titles are going unnoticed! Haha.

I'm in your corner ! When you fly under the radar , part of the point is to go a bit stealthily...It's the Browncoat way...

I'm very excited to be passing you along soon , to a newborn Browncoat that I birthed my ownself...Her brain isn't a rutting playground ; it's more of a rutting wonderland , and it just happens that she is into the music that you cite as influences , particularly since she lists Imogen Heap on her profile page...Her father is also fond of electronica , and he's about my own age , and she has good taste hardwired into her DNA...

She pulled an all-nighter recently , watching the first two discs of the boxset , and confessed her Firefly LOVE to me whilst begging for the remaining discs...

As it turns out , she is a 17-year-old girl , loves to dance , and I'm sure that if she were so inclined , she could kill me with her brain...

All is good. If you like that Alliance Core crap, er, 'civilization'. Sort of thing the Tams would listen to.

The only bad music is the song not written.

Except for Macarenamania.

I'm more of a dubstep fan, but I approve! Nice beats.

Whoa... a dubstep Firefly album... that would be kinda sick... I think I need to make a few calls...

Oooh - I like it! I hear shades of William Orbit in some of the atmostpherics. Very cool stuff.

Thanks! Yes!! I do all the vocals. I'm really into layering and looping vocals, so this kind of music is perfect for it!

OMD! I loooove, love, love that early Synth Brittania stuff (Gary Numan, Depeche Mode, etc). A lot of it was inspired by sci-fi! That's part of my reason for choosing the genre. I want to bring back the mixture.
