OK I just find this hilarious. Rumor has it a poker player who weighs 200+lbs and did some amateur fight training for a bet is now making a new bet. This one is that he can win a fight against any 130lbs or less girl.

What an idiot! I bet there are some pretty tough as nails 130lbs women out there. He's about to lose a bunch of money and get his ass kicked by a 130lbs girl. Heck even if he wins he's going to have to beat the heck out of a 130lb girl.

I mean if it were me at the start of the fight I would not be going all out. I'd have a mental block about decking a girl. Once she started to beat the crap out of me I'd probably quickly panic and try to fight as best I could. I would probably already be over by that point though.

OK that's my contribution for the day. Where is everybody?

heh you need to say 130lbs girl again...

I think it depends on how shes built. Just because she's thin doesn't mean shes fit and he could pack a pretty good punch if he needed to (not knowing what he looks like).

I would very much like to see that fight happen though...

First of all, how does 200lbs vs 130lbs even the odds, even though yeah, when skill comes in, weight doesn't much matter (I'm guessing he put the fight up against a girl because he's afraid of getting his ass handed to him by any male fighter out there)--
Second, he has to know that any (or at least most, I would guess) of the girls that small who accept the bet are probably going to have more fight training than he's had. "Amateur fight training, huh? Pssh *holds up black belt* Let's see how you do, wise guy." *commence ass kicking*

It'll be interesting to see if the rumor turns out to be true.

As for where everybody is, I'd guess they're either starting their holiday weekends early, or are busy at work on this sunny Friday :( As for me, I'm in the process of moving :P Back to packing!!! *waves*

No sun here. Silly tropical storm sending the rain up to us.

I guess everyone else is happy about it cause their lawns grow. I'm in an apartment. No lawn = no need for rain. When it's rainy I'm always 10x as sleepy as when it's sunny.

TRAVELER

The weather people are saying it is going to be nice here Saturday. One of the big banks puts on a 3rd of July fireworks. They don't do it on the 4th because the city has their own. They always have a grand finish. Usually bright and loud shells going off steady for several minutes. Your eyes and ears need a few minutes to adjust after that finale.

I've been busy with my holiday weekend, tis why I'm absent. Might be going into the old town or down by the white house to celebrate my (lack of)independence this weekend. I'm thinking avoiding the capital might be better though, may be a little busy.

Tonight though, I has crazy golf to play. I love crazy golf.

The topsy-turvy nature of the playing greens. Would mini-golf be a more common term for it? We call it crazy golf round my neck of the woods.

Mini golf or putt putt usually works here. Though I think I want to call it crazy golf now.

Well it very much depends on how good a friend/how reasonable/important the favour is. But generally I'll do whatever I can for someone if they need help and I can give it.

Depends on my assessment of the importance of the favor. I'd probably go 20-30 miles for a good friend, but if it was something really important like "I'm having surgery for a life threatening issue" then I'd probably fly a couple thousand miles. If it was like to China or something then I'd probably pass and just send my well wishes.
