The DVD sales is back to 29. The sales in the past weeks were dropping back fast and had gotten to 60 at the beginning of this week but now it is back below 30!

The lowest I hav ever seen the sales were at 75. Firefly, from my knowledge, hasn't even dipped below the 100 mark in sale rank. That is pretty amazing for a canceled show with only half a season and going onto four months since the release of it on DVD.

Do you think PvP had something to do with the recent surge in sale? The sales seemed to climb back up as soon as PvP published there now famous Firefly comic strip.

Someone on the Official Firefly board pointed out to an article dated back in February that DVD sales of Firefly were into 200,000. I would imagine that we are are close to 350,000 if not 400,000 by this time. The plan is to break the 1 million mark by the end of the year! I personally think the sales will do better than that if it keeps on the steady it has been on.

Let's keep up with getting the good word out there, Browncoats!

Oh, and play Cantr II at www.cantr.net.

DOn't forget that the region 2 DVDs are available in the UK from April... this probably won't help the Amazon sales rank as I'm assuming they will be counted separately to the US sales.

BUT it will boost the total number of DVDs sold!

Hurry up April!

Sorry if this has already been pointed out, but UK Amazon are offering a 30% reduction on the DVD. This means the DVD only costs £24.49, (plus the P&P of £1.46) so the total cost would be £25.93.

Normally the DVD retails for £35, so it is quite a saving.

This means there is now no excuse - GO AND ORDER IT!

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

I noticed this morning that amazon.com has reduced its price on the set to $32.99. Originally they were selling it for $34.99, with a suggested retail of $49.98.

I don't know when they did that, but it is possible this reduction might have something to do with the increase in sales lately, but the exposure at PVP couldn't have hurt either.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Nice to see the sales on the rise again.

I am thinking that once the Region 2 sales will boost overall sales, hopefully it will push the number of sales close to the 400k mark.

I figure that the announcement of the movie is the reason for the extra sales. A lot of people are suddenly saying, "They're actually making a movie of that? It must be good!"

I live in Los Angeles, and have noticed that the Amoeba Records and Borders right across the street from my office have both stocked up on Firefly dvds, and are displaying them much more prominently than they have in the past. Woo hoo!

I like smackin' 'em!

Well, sales did rise when the movie was announced at the beginning of the month but quickly dove again. Maybe it has to do with the people who did buy it when they heard about the movie and now they are telling their families and friends and just about everyone else out there.

Also, Firefly has been mentioned in quite a few media sources more often since the announcement of the movie.

I've been pressuring friends within Borders corporate to take notice of the DVD set, and converted at least one of em to the browncoat legions (although nathan fillions butt had more to do with that than me!).

Good to see Borders it rampin it up.

Never underestimate the power of nathan fillions butt I converted my sister-in-law with just the pilot (based mainly on her crush on nathan fillion) but she definitely let me know how pleased she was with the episode Trash. I can see the ad campaign now...

I shaved off my beard for you, devil woman!

Also, there hasn't been a new Firefly review since the 17th so if you haven't posted a review yet for Firefly on Amazon.com then please do so. Perhaps, we should begin to shoot for the 800 mark now that we have surpassed the 700 mark.

Remember, only 1 review per person. Don't sully Firefly's name by cheating.

I could have saved 2$, eh? Drat. I had just ordered my 2nd DVD last week. Oh well. ( I also bought another one - for the troops - so that makes 3 total. )

They don't like it when you shoot at 'em.

For the upcoming UK release, Amazon is definitely the cheapest at the moment.
