Okay, not a great picture- it looks better than it does here, but my camera is tiny & crappy.
Made it out of sculpy clay, cooked it, then did the finer points with an exacto knife. Made it to scale with my 15" Enterprise (making Serenity a little over 3 1/4"). Then acrylic paint.

Better pix when I have time...

Okay- this one isn't so terrible.

There we go! (fix-up courtesy of Lwaves)

Nicely done there Chris.
That scale doesn't give you much to work with.
If you post any more pics can we get other angles please?

Maybe if you just took a pic of Serenity, and omitted that piece of go se behind it....

I'm just sayin'.

Looks like your time was well spent.

Nicely done.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Looks great Chris!

Looking forward to more pics to see the detail you put into it.

Was THAT so hard ?

Ya know, if you don't shake the camera when you snap the shot, the pic will turn out far less blurry.

Awesome work Chris....

If you want a clearer picture just throw some more light onto it. Try a few from below and directly above - adds plenty of drama.

But really nice work on that model, and plenty of time given to the paint job.

So how long before we see the 'SERENITY' version which left Haven with skeletons added and smeers of blood ?

Good work Boss!

No problem. But....

....this is so weird. I nearly started my previous post with this line.

"By the power of the almighty Buddy Buddha, I present you...."

We must have been in the same thought stream.
You weren't by any chance classified as an X7 with a hive mind and bat DNA for sonic communication?
I know you'll get that reference.

Truth to tell, I decided on making it to scale with my Enterprise for two reasons:
1) I like the sense of proportion the Enterprise lends to it- Serenity is WAY bigger than I originally realized compared to a Constitution class.
2) It only took two & 1/2 days to make.

A 12" model (my preferred size for a GOOD Serenity model) would be a month-long project, and I don't have that kind of time right now.

But soon....
