the movie is not the Series. Only the facts have been changed, to irritate the innocent; the names of the actors and characters remain the same

We hear a lot about the doin's of actors and writers, but let me share some things I noticed about David Boyd, cinematographer on Firefly:

He was Cinematographer on three episodes early in season 1 of Deadwood (had Les Howard presented his review of the series in a more timely fashion, I'm sure it would have had a fourth season), and almost the entire first season of Friday Night Lights. He went on to direct two eps of FNL in season 1, and three more in s2.

Checking IMDb, I see that he got his first shot as Director of Photography on Galaxy Quest (best Star Trek movie 'til last year).

He's Cinematographer on Get Low, which will have a limited (to LA & somewhere on the wrong coast) cinematic release this coming Friday.

He also has two movies listed as "pre-production"
