I'm not so sure I'll be at the next D*C, I've said that every year since '07... but still, it seems a stretch. I like the sound of this visa plan though. I'm sure I could pass as an expert.

@Rose: I'm doing pretty good. I'm still slightly less far away from you than I usually am. Enjoying your country's fine selection of Dew and donuts. Chocolate pudding too, I like that invention.

It's been grown up fully dressed study for an exam this morning time so far, excepting a brief interlude for dinner with a friend who has been likewise abandoned for a week which turned into a field trip to another friend's house lasting about an hour or so. (BAD student BAD! No "A" for you!)

Okay, so I'm buying a coffee in a hurry during the five minute break in class.
The supervisor looks frazzled and made sure the first words out of her mouth when she opened the door was "I'm opening three minutes early for you guys". (I almost walked back out. In retrospect I should have.)
I only have two 20 dollar bills in my wallet (yes I'm sure), so I can't give them $1.61 like I usually do.
I get my coffee from the cashier, walk out, put my coffee down because something said 'count your change'. I had a five and three singles and a 20. Fuck. She gave me change for $10.
I go back in and explain. She has to get the manager because she doesn't know how to get into the till. The manager comes over and riffles through the nearly empty drawer and holds the till up so I can see it and says "There's not even a 20 in here."
Fine, but I know what I gave her.
She snaps at the girl to get my phone number and they'll call me at the end of the day if the till's over.
I make sure I give the nice young lady my information and then run back to class late and out ten bucks.

There had been at least one customer between me and my noticing the error.

Anybody wanna take bets on where my twenty mysteriously went?

Plus, now I've had to deal with a surly snotty bitch who as good as called me a liar and con artist.
Which made the coffee taste more bitter than usual.

At least I won't have to go back and deal with the lovely woman again because the drawer will balance.
As often as not they aren't even open when the class gets it's break because they open at 9am then close by 2pm. Sometimes someone has figured this out and opens a few minutes early to catch the crowd, other times we get out for break late.

I don't think I'm going to bother her with my patronage again.

(Bitch, bitch, bitch...get over it!)

Oh so tired. Trip to SLC was fun and the baby had a blast, but missed daddy so he wouldn't sleep at night and 6 days with only an hour or so sleep a night bookended by flights with baby by myself was a bit draining.

Luckily we got home and NV has been taking good care of us...still really tired though

Because firstly, sheet pizza is the most god awful thing ever invented and secondly... eww! tomato sauce!

Though the wings weren't great either, "hot" wasn't even close to hot. And people were complaining about the mild ones. It boggles my mind. I really didn't even taste a little bit of heat on them.

I have stripped down the basil I harvested the evening, with the aid of my two lovely assistants. Boychild declared it was his fifth favorite thing to do in the house. (Several other things tied for 5th when we started enumerating.)

I have two plastic grocery bags full of basil leaves, which I will turn into pesto tomorrow sometime. I also have about another day to revel in a lack of tomatoes on every horizontal surface. By Tuesday I will be once again inundated. (So far they've gone in the freezer. There's sauce happening tomorrow with the most recent batch.)

It's Saturday night for another few hours, BTW.
