Good morning browncaots!

Just wanted to express a little, maybe unknown, information to the FFF boards here. Although I consider myself a science fiction kinda of guy, I really don’t consider myself one either……hope ppl understand what I mean.

Anyway, I really enjoy any si/fi that is done well, Ok I love it if it’s done well, but I also can not stomach it if it is rotten, which sometimes is the case. I was a big Trek fan back in the day (still am) and Galaxy Quest gets three thumbs up from me. I also really liked the old “ Planet of the Apes” movie with Charlton Hesston.

Now my Tuesday nights have become a little less boring and a little more interesting as for as television watching goes. I’ve become a little more aware of a tv show on the Sy/Fy channel known as WH13. Very cute show with a good cast of characters played by some very good actors.

Something else that has gotten me interested in the show ( being an avid FF fan) is that it has Jane Espenson onboard which is a total + in my book, and doing a little research I found that there was someone on there named Simon Reynolds. Here recently an episode had Jewel Staite and Seam Maher on it. Mark Sheppard ( Badger) has been on the show and just this past Tuesday agent Peter Lattimer (Eddie McClintock) was wearing a t-shirt that had North Canton printed across the front ( is he a fan of Jayne?)

Anyway, the show is a lot of fun, a bit silly at times but I really enjoy it. I’m looking forward to the rest of this season and maybe catching up on season 1.

Anyone have thoughts or ideas about the show?

Z

I think its a cute show to wind down to in the evenings. If you want serious drama, look elsewhere, but for something lighthearted and fun every once in a while its enjoyable.

America loves a winner!

I've come to really like the show as well. I was iffy on it, early on. Missed a fair bit of the first season, it simply didn't hold my attention.

Now, I look forward to catching the new shows.

The Claudia / Fargo cross over theme really was well done.

I liked how they ended the latests episode. A nice twist on what we've seen.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

FYI, Eddie McClintock was born in North Canton, Ohio.

I watched it last year, although there were several times I thought about not bothering. I did watch the first two eps this year, but after the one that featured Jewel and Sean I decided not to bother anymore. I was actually embarrassed for them it was so bad. I do like the fact the BDHs are popular and I want to see them in other things, but I don't want to torture myself either.

That's why I hope none of them are ever cast in another SyFy "Original" movie. Both Sands of Oblivion and Mammoth sucked big time.

I wanted to reply so as to break up any possible streak of bad reviews.
Warehouse 13 is a good show.
If you had a graph where one end was Firefly (Greatness) and the other end was Heroes Season 2 (putrid) then Warehouse would be in the middle area but closer to Firefly.
Its not like Firefly which was intense with some lightheartedness for balance. This show is fun with just enough drama to keep the plot moving. The basic 4 characters are all doing a very good job. How can you not love Artie and Claudia.
I agree that Jewel and Sean's appearance was a waste.
I look forward to Tuesday nights and dread the 9-10 months ahead between seasons (or has anyone heard anything about ScyFy maybe going forward with more episodes now that WH13 is getting decent ratings for that channel).

Please don't think I am with Whozit on this. I am not wishing for W13's cancellation. I am fine with anyone else who likes it, I just don't want to bother with it anymore myself. I am sure there is something I watch that others don't care for very much. I call for mutual co-existence.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

What I like best about Warehouse 13 is that the show is not too heavy. It is something light and fun to watch each Tuesday night. Honestly it is one of the only shows I watch on SyFy anymore what with Stargate Universe in between seasons.

Mornin everyone!

ECGordon……thanks for the info. I was mistaken, I was getting some Jayne vibes from Eddie McClintock’s character Peter Lattimer, and I mean that in a good way.

I do agree that Sean & Jewel’s parts in WH/13 did seem as if they were a waste of talent. Joss knew how to get more out of his cast sometimes me feels……

Anyway, I don’t want to make it sound as if WH/13 is an excellent replacement for Firefly, on the contraire, there are several shows that I like, including Chuck and Castle, yet they are no match for the tv series that was FF. WH/13 does have some moments though. I like the play between Myka and Peter. They seem to truly get along great together and with the bit of underlying romantic tease, it doesn’t hurt one bit…… it’s good for the show.

It is good to hear that other browncoats are enjoying the show in such a way as I am. Facts are, the Sy/Fy channel has had some real duds. There are writers of fan-fic on this very site that could do better story arcs sometime I believe. Most actors are good at their jobs, but poor writing and directing can kill an actors mojo. It’s good that they get it right sometime.

Still wish they could get the rights to Firefly though. That would increase their tv viewers ninty fold or better.
