,-) check the official site. its even telling you about his role in this movie. dont forget most actors arent that lucky and can start their career with grade a movies or cult shows. look at schwarzenegger and hercules in new york, porn with silvester stallone or tons of other bad movies featuring great actors.

Um... ok. This is the way it works:

1.) someone wants to be an actor.
2.) actors like to eat.
3.) automatically, the income potenial drops significantly as most dont make it.
4.) to keep with #2, actors will be in anything they can.
5.) if actors are in good movies and then nothing for a while, they will do anything to keep with #2.
6.) even if actors are in good movies, sometimes they will willingly put themselves in bad movies as a way to network, repay favors (from when they were just starting out, helping out someone just starting out, etc etc), or just because they get paid.

** ever hear what Clint Eastwood said about his Dirty Harry movies? hint: doesnt like violence, but likes $$$.

Ever seen Sean Connery in a stinky movie? YES. Dustin Hoffman? YES. Sandra Bullock? YES. It happens all the time.

Exactly. Too many people either forget or just don't realize that for people like Adam Baldwin, making movies is a profession, not something he does just for kicks. There are probably more actors in the world than there are available roles. Some actors take roles in crappy B films so they can pay the rent and get a credit on their resume. Very few can afford to be picky.

Adding to DeckRoid's examples, Michael Caine is a fantastic actor but has made a lot of awful movies. Why? I saw an interview where he said he grew up without a lot of money, so for him the attitude was basically take the jobs you can get because they may not always be there.

Speaking of Firefly actors in bad movies...did anyone catch Nathan Fillion's small role in the horrendous Dracula 2000?

And as a final note, I am quite grateful to the world of B movies for providing me with countless hours of often unintentional entertainment. And for Bruce Campbell.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I LOVE B movies. Evil Dead, Army of Darkness, countless others. If they do not become cult classics, they are fun to sit back & watch w/ friends. Some of them we sit back & do our own version of Mystery Science Theatre 3000. It is great for laughs while sharing some frosty beverages w/ friends.

You're thinking of Peter Jackson's The Frighteners, which was about ghosts- Which, if I may say so, was a hella underrated flick- Wasnt meant to be a B-movie, but ended up being so- It's a really great movie, I urge you all to check it out-

And I saw the godawful Dracula 2000, and its sequel, but I didnt notice Nathan- Can you point me to the right scene?

Nathan played the priest that the female lead went to for help. Can't remember his name, but he was the young priest w/ the glasses.

Adam Baldwin has been in a few big screen movies like Full Metal Jacket, The Patriot (2000). He also guest starred on X-Files in the last two seasons as one of the super soldiers. He was the super soldier that Mulder supposedly 'killed' in the last two hour episode and was the reason why Mulder was put on trial.

He has never had a major role in a big screen movie but that will change with Serenity.

Plus if Serenity become a big hit (which it will) then chances are we will see a whole lot more of most of the crew.

Lord of the Rings did this for Viggio Mortenson and Orlando Bloom.

Star Wars for Harrison Ford.

Prequel Star Wars for Ewan McGregor.

Actually, I'm pretty sure he's talking about the cheesy New Zealand gore-fest that is Dead Alive (although I believe the non American title is Brain Dead) about a little zombie-monkey-rat that bites people and turns them into zombies, which is obviously awesome. But yea, the Frighteners is also really underrated.

How about Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. How many Kevin Smith flicks have they been in?

To really apreciate B-Movies though and even the proffesion of acting its almost required to read Bruce Campbell's biography "If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a B-Movie Actor," It is probably one of the best and most insightfull books I've read in a long while.

Also, I'm not sure that anything that Kevin Smith has done can be considered B grade. The general rule (as I see it) is that if it's sci-fi/fantasy/war its B. If its anything else its Artsy.

Dont ask me silly questions.

Not really a B-movie thing, but I think I saw Adam Baldwin's name flash past in the credits to an episode of Jackie Chan Adventures.

Been trying to figure out who he might've been. The only two with deep, gravelly (Jayne-type) voices are Capt. Black and Tohru, and I'm pretty sure Capt. Black is Clancy Brown.

It's also possible he's doing some wildly-non-Jayne voice, and being Uncle (scratchy old-guy voice), or maybe El Toro (Mexican luchadore), or something.

BLUESUNWORSHIPPER

Adam Baldwin does the voice of Finn on Jackie Chan Adventures. Finn is one of the trio of bad guy lackeys who always gets his butt kicked. Just FYI.

Oh, and I'm pretty sure the Peter Jackson movie everybody is referencing is, "Bad Taste." Aptly named. It's about zombies that are controlled by aliens in their quest to take over the world, or something along those lines. "Meet the Feebles" needs to be erased from everyone's memory. It's a good thing the folks at New Line never saw it, or we'd never have gotten "Lord of the Rings." It'd be like Roger Corman doing a Shakespeare play without machine guns...nobody'd believe it.
