I grew up with "Leave it to Beaver" reruns in the early sixties. Barbara Billingsley will always be TVs #1 "Mom".

There's more old dudes around here than you think, Chris, including a few of us that are older than you. I not only grew up with "Leave it to Beaver," I probably remember other shows you've never seen. Plus, I'm only two years younger than the Beav himself.

May she rest in peace, and condolences to her family and friends.

You wait, it's Saturday night and most people don't know she's gone. The entertainment sites will be full of heart felt replys tomorow, maybe a few here too.

Oldish dudette here. We didn't watch Beaver but I was familiar with the done-up mom in twinset and pearls who didn't resemble my mom a whole lot. Heh.

Yeah, chris.
Better Living Through Chemistry.
Mine did it, too.
My non-moms were a friend's mom, a piano teacher, a school counselor, etc.
Real people who were kind enough to contribute.
I count myself lucky they were around at critical moments. TV mom wasn't going to crawl out of the set and save my sorry hide.
Might be different for dudes, though.
Because, well, you're dudes.
Ahem.
Heh.

bun
why's the rum gone?
