My little home town holds this annual shindig called the Conference on World Affairs. For a week, special guests are invited to the university to lead pannel discussions on various world issues, from politics to TV.
I was at a discussion today which focused on 'The Simpsons.' There were three panel speakers, one of which was Simpsons executive-producer Tim Long. The discussion shifted to the Fox exectutives, on which his comment was, "The Fox execs are, to use the 7th grade term, retards."
Another panelist, Donal Scannell, said something like, "It's a shame that the best show on TV is used to fill the pockets of the biggest facist corporation in America."
And the applause for these comments was huge. Just goes to show, even those who work for Fox hate it. I'm starting to think it's good that Firefly got off that station.

Yah, but went into the void. Sure we're getting a movie but what about after that? Hopefully someone will pick up the series after the movie is successful
