For those who saw it, Hi-larious. I'm really drawn into this whole last few episodes of Angel. I'll refrain from any other comment, least others have not seen it yet.

Baldwin had maybe 5 lines but he was still pretty good.
"He is well dressed"
"and sign this, and there...oh and initial there"

inviso text for spoilers (I think the West Coast still has a few hours to go).

The burbs as hell, not original but well done anyway.

exFred and Wesley was nicely done.

So what were all the other apocalypses? Reverse aftershocks leading up to this one?

I mean there's been what? 2 just last year.

It was wierd - I felt like I was watching JAYNE acting, not Adam. Mind you, it was all my mind - Adam did a GREAT job - but I had a very hard time separating the two...I kept waiting for Jayne to break out laughing and say, "Naw, just kiddin'. Really, Mal, I had you goin' there!"

i really enjoyed adams performance (it being unlike his typical military-ish roles)

as far as the apocalypse stuff.. i think it really all goes back to what they talked about in season 2 (i think that was it) about earth being hell and all humans were evil so angel's fight was hopeless.. I am digging the deepness of angel's fight.. not like buffy's obvious "go kill demons and you win".

didn't spolierify what i said cause i didn't think it warrented it. sorry if y'all disagree.

I'm always surprised when I come across Adam Baldwin playing non-dumb. (I had the same reaction stumbing onto Independence Day on some cable channel or another a few weeks back.)

I had told my boyfriend Jayne was on and he didn't even recognize him! He looked so different all clean shaven and well dressed. Suits can make such a difference.

Man, I want to know what happens but at the same time, I don't want Angel to end any sooner than it already is!

Not sure what the big deal is. Adam is a gifted actor, so I wasn't surprised with his performance on Angel tonight at all. I recognized him immediately and I thought he was great!

I'd image it's harder for him to play Jayne than a demonic "suit"! The role of Jayne required so much comedic timing to make the character work! Most actors will tell you doing comedy is far more difficult than playing dramatic roles.

I'd given some thought to movin' off the edge -- not an ideal location -- thinkin' a place in the middle.

I loved Adam in this episode. Here, the whole time you're thinking this unstoppable and ultra powerful assassin is coming to kill Eve....and then he pulls out a pen! I have to agree with Lorne, I didn't see that one coming. I'm really interested to see how his character fits into the scheme of things during the last (man it sucks to say that ) five episodes.

Also, did anyone else catch Illyria's reference to one of Joss' running jokes when she was talking about all the dimensions she'd visited? "I was even in a world of nothing but shrimp. I didn't like that very much". HI-larious!

Yep, noticed that one too! I think I said out loud, "So what's with the shrimp anyway?" hehe...

So good to get a new Angel ep after such a long dry spell. But got real sad when the screen declared the countdown to the final 6 episodes.

On Adam's appearance:

Select to view spoiler:

He looked mighty fine in that high class suit. But I cringed when he put his fist through that guard's chest. I mean, heck, that's gonna ruin that suit! Then when we saw him later, he was still all clean and spiffy.

Guess he sprayed 'Super Strength Demon Grade Scotch Guard' all over before he left for his busy day!

Adam was so funny when Harmony was trying so hard to fight him. He stood there absolutely unaffected by her climbing all over him and just looked mildly annoyed... like, "What's this fly buzzing around me?"

When Adam finally spoke at the end, he seemed to affect a somewhat fastidious air. Which was quite a hoot after his menacing and deliberate pursuit beforehand. Should be fun to see Adam bein' all corporate suity and Machiavellian and stuff.

Angel is so damn good. Gawd it makes me mad that it's ending. It's the ONLY show I call "Must See TV" and ALWAYS make sure to tape.

Gonna cry now...

My wife endures this show & my great fascination with it. The whole "demon" thing bugs her.

Anyway, she has been watching with me since "You're Welcome" (I was out of town & she had to tape it for me, so she watched it.)

I can tell she's starting to like the show. Needless to say, the extra bonus of telling her Adam Baldwin, (aka Jayne) was on last night kinda won her over. Her favorite was the scream from Eve, Harm & Lorne.

May the sun at your back always be in another dimension - yep I just made that up!

Adam was perfectly cast for this! He is so big and intimidating, and then he acted so calm and professional when he removed Eve's immortality! LOL
What a great episode...wonderful homage to Anya (with the Shrimp reference)
WONDERFUL seeing Mercedes in the opening credits (Joss is such a wonderful boss!)

I'm thrilled that they have thrown out the 'stand alone' and are going for the big arc end to the show!

I LOVED Adam in this episode. The triple scream by Eve, Lorne, and Harmony was especially funny! For the life of me I can't remember what Adam's character's name is, I just keep calling him Jayne. Maybe we should call him WDJ for Well Dressed Jayne? Best hour of TV I have seen in AGES.

My favourite part was when Lindsey came out the first time, to that spritely 50s music. I just thought If he breaks into song, I'm . . . Well, no, I'm not leaving. Actually, that'd be kinda cool.

We need Sweet (from Once More With Feeling) to do a guest spot.

I liked Spike's Knight Rider reference. Would'a thought Gunn at least would get it. I mean, he compares real life to Daredevil comics, but he doesn't know Knight Rider?!?

Also, Wes calling Illyria a Smurf.

maybe Gunn is too young to have seen Knight Rider?
Or maybe he was on the 'street' where comics were more available...?

Anyway I always get a kick out of no one getting Spike's cultural references (except Andrew...he he he).

I was actually surprised that Wesley was aware of smurfs(!) but then it was just too perfect of a joke to bypass ....

I believe that Adam is around 6' 5" tall... and that is TALL. I met him in person and he just towers. I'm fairly tall at 5' 8", and I have tall friends, but when Adam gave me a hug (yes, LUCKY me) my head was only about chest high on him. I'm sure Adam is weary of how often people comment on his height, but darn it, he is very tall.

I'm not sure how tall David Boreanaz is, but he's no shrimp that's for sure. So it's not an optical illusion, and even a tall man standing at 6 feet would look noticeably shorter next to Adam.

The tall thing really works well for Adam's über menacing corporate guy role. I'm so glad Joss created a way for Adam to join the cast during these last precious episodes.

Aha, so the suit has the mojo to slough off blood, bits of bone, guts and various bodily fluids, so that Adam can continue through his corporate day looking fresh and ready to take a meeting... or, thrust his fist through someone's chest.

Okay, Fess up now.

How many of you, when Adam first walked through the door did you start singing "Jayne/ The man they call Jayne?"

I watch Angel taped delayed, due to my work scedule. So the next morning, while I was watching it for the first time, and wife for the second, the scene happened and I broke into song.

The wife found this extra hilarious because that is exactly what her and our daughter had done, when they saw it the first time.

The shrimp reference had me rolling. This season of Angel just wouldn't be so appealing if I weren't a Buffy/Angel fanatic. It's LOADED with references and they're funny if you don't get them, but they almost make you cry if you do. Angel also quoted Fred towards the beginning. I recognised it before he even said what it was.

Adam was great! I was so glad to see that he was being a good guy because that means Angel doesn't have to kill him...(if he could, heh heh). So what was with all the evilness at the beginning, if he's supposed to be on their side? I mean, you don't stick your hand through somebody if you're on their side.

About the tall thing, yes, he's tall ANYWAY, but as far as the thing with Angel, I'm willing to bet Adam is taller than David, but just remember Alan Tudyk's commentary in War Stories. Alan says he's taller than Gina, but with the camera angles, Zoe is taller than Wash, every time.

Oh, and I got a subscription to the ANGEL MAGAZINE and there's this poster. It's got Fred in the middle in her skirt and boots, smiling. Angel is to her left and Wes is to his left. Spike is to her right and then Lorne on the far end. It says ANGEL right below them. I laughed because I imagined that I'd never heard of Angel before. It looked like Fred's name is Angel. It looked like some sort of LA LAW type show about lawyers or something. I thought about how funny that is for about 45 seconds. Then I realized. Oh....yeah....it IS about Lawyers! Whoops.
