Just discovered the glee of Glee and thought to myself that if/when we get a new Firefly when Nathan and all the fans buy it, that if Captain Mal had a son he could look like Cory Monteith.

Just a thought... Planning ahead here....

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

Are you aware that Joss directed "Dream On," which was Season 1, Episode 19? And that the guest star on that ep was Neil Patrick Harris?

I bought the first season for my g/f a few days ago for her birthday and I fell in love with it as well! From the moment Mr. Shoe drove to school in that crappy car with the muffler dragging the ground I thought "yep, that's me in about 7 years or so." Of course, the show has next to nothing in common with teaching a real music class, but I still find it infinitely enjoyable! It's official, I'm a gleek!

Yes indeedily ecgordon. Ironically that was the very first episode I ever watched and then later on I find out it was directed by the Mighty Joss, it must be karma.

AND to the Tradery Bloke, yes if only all classes had only 12 students who all did as they were asked, did their homework assignments, turned up to practice without whining and ssng to you into the bargain all would be well with the world and we wouldn't have to go off and settle new moons.

Burn the spam and boil the tea, lets go to infinity...

as a lifelong resident of the Real Lima, Ohio, let me tell you the show has MORE in common with a real music class, then the real Lima.

Select to view spoiler:

prime example, the school Kurt transfers to in season 2, the Dalton academy, is supposed to be in Worthington, OH. they make it seem as if the 2 cities were within walking distance. In reality, Worthington is a suburb of the state capitol Columbus, approx 100 miles away (Roughly a 1.5-2 hr drive)

but still definitely extremely enjoyable.

but what small town that has been fictionalized can't say that?

I was a Lima loser for 29 years before "glee" introduced us to the term. -ME

I don't think it has much in common with any High School in the real world. Can be very entertaining, though.
