Nope I'll have my Kaylee kitty with me and if I'm lucky it'll be just us. There are some advantages to moving across the country

P.S. HIMYM spoiilers from last episode

WTF ROBIN!?! What a *&@#$!!!! You can't make an agreement like that and then back out! Especially not for some guy that you have zero chemistry with. jeez

Though I think this seals it. Barney is going to marry Robin. I think they know the fans are way more invested in Barney and Robin than they are in Nora and whatshisface.

Riona- so if it weren't in your city would you not be going??
Sounds like a fun gathering though:) Are you guys going the traditional turkey and trimmings route or something else???

Zeek-

oh my holy hell I can't believe Robin made the classic girl mistake... fell for the romantic answer without realizing it wasn't the right one. Kevin's answer was sweetly romantic, but Barney's answer shows he knows all of Robin and loves her because of her faults. Kevin's just shows his willingness to ignore and sweep her faults under the carpet not a true depth of knowledge of her as a person and an appreciation for the same... stupid women

I'm kinda worried about how they're going to redeem her. I mean what can she possible do to make up for that? She let Barney go through the pain of admitting what he did to Nora and I was impressed about how honest he was. Then she stabs him in the back and leaves him alone to clean up rose petals. Damn!! She's got some work to do before I can forgive her for that one.

And yeah it seems like Barney loves her and Kevin just idolizes her. Not wanting to know what she did was just a silly response. Ignorance is bliss only goes so far.

Ok people...new ponder

How many unpaid hours do you work per month ... I mean mandatory unpaid meetings or actual job related work??

Sadly for me that answer is between 8-10

Zeek

Select to view spoiler:

yeah she better really make it up to Barney big time. That poor guy. Has tohave the painful conversation with Nora, but thinks it's for a purpose and then Miss Indecisive over there changes her mind because Kevin's a shortsighted idiot and she seems to find that comforting...kinda not too happy with Robin right now

Well I'm paid salary. So, technically none. If you count that as 40 hours per week then I probably work a decent amount of unpaid overtime. Nothing overly significant though.

I did work until 7:45 one night this week. I kinda liked that though. I got picked to work on something critical and got it done even though I'd never done it before. Got to present it the next day in our department meeting. Got koodos from my manager. All worked out pretty well IMO.

Whooo!! Go Zeek master of the meeting

We're paid as though we work a 40 hour week ( and docked accordingly for absent times) but we have a series of awesome mandatory meetings outside of contract time.. it annoys me

So, surely if they dock you for going below 40 hours a week you must get overtime for going over 40 hours a week, right?

MSA, sometimes we go about an hour south to my grandma's house instead, they alternate hosting. We eat all the common things.

Zeke, when I asked that I meant in regard to humans.

I volunteer on Mon. and Thurs. at daytime options for people with mental health differences. Tue. Wed. and Fri. I work at my paid job, resource/phone woman at my local NAMI chapter. I love my work!

Jeez HIMYM

Select to view spoiler:

What's with them and endings all of a sudden? Pregnant!! Gotta be Barney's, right? I guess that's one way to get them back together.

Though if it is Barney's how can we be led to believe he isn't a master of protection or else a daddy a hundred times over? It's really one or the other IMO. Unless he unconsciously slipped up with Robin because he wants kids with her. Dumb.

Let's see how well Kevin's "lets just not talk about it" theory works with a baby.

2 more days then 4 day weekend. Yay!

That's awesome that you volunteer Riona. Are you planning a job in mental health?

Zeek I haven't seen HIMYM yet so I'm waiting to view your comments until I do:)

So ready for this day to be over. The kids are hyper and don't want to be here. The teachers are grouchy and don't want to be here... come on day...END

Volunteering is something I've always done, it isn't a big thing because I love doing it and I'm passionate about my field so its fun. I already get paid to work in MH. My goal someday is to own a group home/establishment. I will be naming it after our River in Firefly.

Which grade do you teach MSA? Do you still teach special ed or do you teach a standard classroom full of kids.

And, can you teach Maddox how not to bite? He's cutting his two year molars and is getting kicked out of daycare almost every other day because he can't keep himself from chomping on his bestest friends. It's getting embarrassing having to collect him up for the day after he's bitten another child.

I know I shouldn't say this, but the wording of that post was hy-larious. I haven't seen something written that humorously in a good while. I know this isn't probably going to be helpful but when my little brother went through a biting phase (age 3 or 4), my mom told him that if she caught him biting anyone she'd bite him right back and he'd see that it hurts and is mean. It kept his biting at bay. I don't think she really would have done it, but the threat of it was enough. He's probably too little for that to work though and one really couldn't/wouldn't want to bite their child.

My friend's little sister went through that phase at age 2 at daycare too, they would punish her when they took her home and eventually it sunk in, she grew out of the phase.

I thought that might work on my first cat. He was a biter. So one day when he bit me I was like "oh yeah" and I went to bite him back. Really backfires when you're picking hairs out of your mouth for 20 minutes. I didn't bite him hard for the record. It also didn't work. He was a meanie but still awesome in his own way.

So, how'd everyone's Thanksgivings go? Mine was nice and lazy. The football was good, the food was yummy, kaylee cat was cute. All in all pretty good. Plus I didn't have to step outside once.

Steg- I can try. Does he bite in response to frustration or as an attention getter?
If it's frustration you can use a couple of things. The one we use with Johnny is to keep using the phrase " gentle mouth" and any time he bites his toy that he's playing with is immediately placed in time out. I know it's hard with you not being there, but if you can, ask the teachers to use the same phrase and time his toy out so he associates biting with losing his toy.
If it's attention getting( does he bite anyone you know) just put a little nail biter bitter apple on the person. One bite and he'll give up!

Riona- I work with high school students with behavior disorders ( normal to high IQ but emotional issues making normal learning impossible) and with resource kids who struggle with learning disabilities. Where I am right now is very low key for me. I normally work with severely violent students, but I've taken a position here to be able to be near my home. Kinda liking the break from having chairs thrown at me and having kids try to assault me and set me on fire:)

HUGS Zeek

That's cool MSA, our fields overlap a lot, though I love working with adults, I find it to be easier for me, less pressure.
