About 3 minutes ago the new simpsons episode spent 2 minutes ripping on Reality TV and Fox - my favorite part:

(Paraphrased)Bart: Hey, everyone knows when you sign a contract with Fox your gonna get screwed.

Don't squat with your spurs on.

Ashamed to admit it, but I watch King of the Hill and The Simpsons. Frankly I can't believe they're still on.

"What do those women expect. Anyone who signs a contract with Fox is going to get double crossed and degraded."

He,he. I love how they do that.

haha that's wicked!

I for one LOVE LOVE LOVE the simpsons but the last couple or few seasons have been of very poor quality.

Still that's pretty damn funny!

The Simpson, King of the Hill, Malcolm(!) in the Middle, Arrested Development, and Tru Calling are the ONLY shows we watch on Fox.

Add CSI, Angel, and Smallville, and you've got just about all the TV we still watch.

Regular broadcast TV, anyhow. I love Deadwood and Carnivale, too.

Right now, I can't stop laughing at how even people who know nothing about Firefly say Fox cancels all the good stuff.

I'm "lucky" (?) enough to get most Fox sitcoms simulcast on Global, so I don't have to watch it at all.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Any barbs aimed Fox's way or at "reality" shows in general are ok in my book.

I still refuse to watch Fox out of principle and thier lack of good programming.

I haven't seen The Simpsons this season, but I liked last season when they had one of those annoying Fox animated promos DURING ANOTHER SHOW. It was brides chasing a husband for some reality show during The Simpsons.

But this time it seems like Homer is LOOKING down at the animation. He eats the animation and goes, "Mmmm promo." Then he says, "Eww. Fox!" and spits it out.

The Simpson's are definitely ON again. After having a shaking time during seasons 11-13, this year has been phenomenal.

I love what they can get away with! I'm sure the contract line was a reference to the recent strike by the voice actors, which was settled, by the way.

From their season opener The Regina Monologues (mediocre episode, but Best. Title. Ever) to their Evita send up to Marge selling her first novel, this season of the Simpson's has been gut splitting hilarious. From making fun of Nelson by saying he drives a pink Miata (and yes, Nancy Cartwright does drive a pink Miata) to Homer trying to get out of a lie by saying "I wasn't lying. I was writing fiction with my mouth" to a fabulous guest appearance by Sarah Michelle Gellar, I can't speak highly enough of this season. Yes, I miss the chalk-board openings, but they have more than made up for it in the writing.

Almost every week has had my mouth hanging open with me thinking "I can't believe they were allowed to *say* that!" which are always my favorite Simpson's moments. I was worried about another mediocre season, but something just gelled this year and it's been too much fun. I guess the new producers who took over in season 11 have finally settled in. Yay!

The Simpsons have never been afraid to make fun of Fox. Just like the rest of humanity.
