(Oops, I misspelled "Bloggs" in the title.)
-----

Remember Joey Bloggs from "The Train Job"?

MAL (to Paradiso Sheriff): My uncle said he knew a Joey Bloggs out here, said he might have an opening. Thought we'd try our luck.

I happened across "Joe Bloggs" in a dictionary. It's British English for "Joe Blow" (average guy).

Oh, Joss, such the Anglophile. I assume they didn't change it to "Joey Blow" for the Region 2 DVD.

Now that is pretty spiffy. Not a day goes by that I don't learn more tiny, unpredictable until you think about them, sorta details about this show.

Thanks for sharing that, now I can look all knowinglike when I show that episode to people next time.

(By the way, completely love the Chinese Pinyinary site.)

eerie-ass piece of work and get on with our

You're welcome, and thanks for the Pinyinary love.

Shiny flags on your site. I also like the Browncoat cortex hack and:

You expect me to believe that?! No, actually THAT'S what I was looking up when I stumbled across Joe Bloggs.

For some reason, half of the dictionaries say "deus" (the Portuguese word for "god") and half say "deos" (apparently not a Portuguese word, and not listed as a nonstandard dialect form). Curiouser and curiouser...
