It seems to me that now that Joss has destroyed the world of major motion pictures with the epic and mindblowing Avengers that there should be some way of getting the funding to bring back Firefly. Even if Disney had to buy the rights to the show, considering the fan base and the level of dedication to the show despite it only getting one season and one movie, I can't see them not making a metric ass ton of money off of it's return.

Avengers fans are not necessarily Firefly fans. I can see a lot of ways for the revival of Firefly to not make money. For starters they don't even need to involve Joss if they don't want to.
