Im sorry but its over my captain. I can no longer support you in watching Castle it has become to painful to watch. I dont what kind of writes the show has but the episode Swan Song was by far the worst thing i have seen on television. Even our captain in the show couldn't change my mind of that. If i am correct there is no way he would of even wanted to be in the episode if it wasn't for his contract probably.

WHat you guys think? I know alot of you never even started watching it .

I stopped really watching in season two... I still catch bits and pieces because the family tends to keep the tv running after Dancing with the Stars.

I actually thought the documentary thing was kind of a clever idea, but the amount of fourth wall breaking became kind of awkward until it seeped into everything, even the stuff that wasn't supposed to be awkward.

I liked it and thought it hilarious. That said the "found footage" approach does not have universal appeal. But a lot of people get a kick out of it in small doses. Ever since Blair Witch it has become popular with film makers, and now TV show runners as well.

Aren't we due for a musical episode of Castle?

I think thats why i mostly didn't like it, the show became so awkward, so many scenes were extremely awkward it put a new light into the crew. Like the desperate need to get camera time, which according to me almost made me feel embarrassed to watch these idiots fight over camera time.

May Fox Network burn in HELL!!!!

Firefly was also written with an eye towards documentary/ found footage, catching characters in little moments and their reactions, but the characters never acknowledged the camera and the scenes were always focused on the driving plotline for the episode.

I agree with the small doses idea, I think some of the showboating 4th wall breaking moments were funny, but they needed more focus on the plot going on behind the meta.

WISHIMAY

I just watched it. Yep, that was painful. I had to take an Ambien halfway through just so I could ramp UP to watch the rest. Nathan couldn't have saved that one with a shipload of Zoe's...

And I'm starting to wish the captain lady ill. I don't like ANYTHING about her character. Prolly could've just watched the last two minutes and been good to go.
Maybe they spent so much time on the last one this one was the gimme?
I dunno.

I hope that there is a great upset in TV soon....I'm only watching like three or four shows and I think that is the lowest number in a decade.

I enjoyed this episode for what it was,
fun.
Far as the camera hogging,
did no one notice that the characters started out that way,
but by the end of the episode,
they had mostly worked their way back to boosting their team over themselves?

I very much prefer this season (as the first three)
over the way too often, way too heavy fourth season.
I love Castle the show and the character.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

Not a great episode, but I took it as a slam against "reality" shows. When people know the cameras are on them they act differently than they would ordinarily.

No more running. I aim to misbehave.

I watched the whole thing and laughed out loud a few times. There was too much focus on the camera itself. Not enough on the murder. I thought it was funny the way Lanie and Esposito both changed to tighter shirts. Can you say trolling for dates?
I loved the way Beckett had the "less you focus on me" the better attitude. Castle making it his job to share what he saw in Beckett with the camera was good too. I liked the music and how it fit into the murder. The hot dogging did go too far.
I write a blog, a humorous one. Sometimes, I am so tired and I don't know what to say. I post it. I expect mediocre to negative feedback. The few reader I have love it. Other times I think its good, I get a low key "yeah" and that's it. My point is sometimes what the creators think will work just doesn't fly.

I thought it was funny, though slightly irritating to watch after a while. Like Bytemite said, too much 4th wall breaking. I'm sure the actors had a blast, playing their characters playing to a camera.
