For those of you who bought FRFLY stock, here is an update. The Star Bond for Chiwetel Ejiofor is now associated with the movie (this follows the zap2it article about his being cast in Serenity that was linked to on the fireflymovie.com news for June 1).

zap2it article (potential spoilers):

Chiwetel's HSX listing:

He is currently trading at $28.75 so maxing out 20,000 shares is affordable (FRFLY is trading at $32.62). For people wondering when our BDH's will get their own star bonds, it probably won't be until the sequel to Serenity is in development (per responses to an earlier request - apologies to the fireflyfan who found out this information since i've forgotten your handle- HSX doesn't usually issue star bonds until an actor/ress is on their second project).

For those of you wondering what this is all about, it is one of the guerilla marketing strategies on the fireflymovie.com site (maybe from the OB, not sure). Hopefully these previous threads will shed some light.

The good news is that Alan Tudyk is on HSX: http://movies.hsx.com/servlet/SecurityDetail?symbol=ATUDY His bonds are still inactive, it'll be for sale soon.

The bad news is that he's H$70!

That means I'll have to sell all my: HITCH (+18% for me), BMURR (+11%), MSTRE (+42%), SSARA (+20%), TROBB (+90%), and I'll still not be able to buy 20k ATUDY. There's no way I'm selling any of my FRFLY (+161%); so now I have to decide how much of my DKRUM (+6%), UNIVX (+104%), or CEJIO (+8%) I'm gonna sell. The reason I've included my %s above, is to show that the general trend is usually upward - if you buy something and it goes down: don't panic, don't sell, it may just be some profit taking.

Isn't Allan already past his second project. He is in Dodgeball and I Robot this summer. Not to mention he was in 28 days and A knight's tale.

Important people don't do field work.

Any idea when, exactly, the IPO on Tudyk is going to be?

Kaylee: "What's so damn important about being proper? It don't mean nothing out here in the black."
Simon: "It means more out here. It's all I have..."

Nice catch on the Alan Tudyk. I spent quite a few minutes today trying to figure out how to come up with 1.4 million for the IPO. I'll probably wait until the Saturday after just to eliminate the commission and will probably have to sell off some of my blockbuster warrants (fortunately, I've made out like a bandit on Shrek 2, Dodgeball, Fahrenheit 9/11, and Spiderman 2 - 1.2 million profit and rising, gotta love the options). Not sure when the IPO will be either. The calendar doesn't have it listed, so it's at least going to be after the 11th of July. Maybe close to the opening of I, Robot?

As far as the $70 starting price, that's pretty reasonable, even though his TAG is 39.1 right now. Dodgeball should bring in at least $100 million. If I, Robot makes more than $135 million that will bring his TAG over 70 but that won't be adjusted until a month after I, Robot opens.

I was trying to figure out if his star bond would fall sharply after the IPO but I think I've convinced myself that a $70 per is a decent investment (provided I, Robot pushes his TAG over 70) since Serenity will be replacing 28 days for his TAG calculations and we all KNOW that Serenity will do more business than 28 day's $37 million.

You act like you have to sell something to buy ATUDY.

Aren't you clicking on the Get More HSX $$ button to answer the poll every week and get $5000.

"Just keep walkin, preacher man."

Yup. Every week I'm adding an easy $50k to my portfolio (and sometimes more, since I try the 'click on ad' every time I go to the site). But I usually only keep $500k in spare change and the rest is invested. So even though I have $7 mil net worth, getting at the $1.4 mil necessary to max out on Alan will take some machinations.
