Jerry Lewis has come under fire from his son, Gary Lewis, after his brother died. Gary suggests that his younger brother died after feeling abandoned by their father.

Gary Lewis, the pop star son of comedian Jerry Lewis, has blamed his father for the death of his younger brother. The 1960s Gary Lewis and The Playboys frontman has suggested that his comedian father all but abandoned his son Joseph when he discovered his growing drug addiction, and it was this abandonment that caused the young man to die, October 24, 2009.

In October 2009, Joseph Lewis suffered a sudden seizure and died in Utah, however Gary claims that his brother's health would not have declined to such a drastic extend if he had still had the support of his father. Lewis spoke to 'The Globe' to explain how his father's neglect caused his brother to die, saying: "Joe had problems his entire life and I blame our father."

He criticised his father, saying: "Jerry Lewis is a mean and evil person. He was never loving and caring toward me or my brothers. I don't know if Joe's death is drug related, but I believe it could have been prevented if he and my father had been on better terms. I believe he partly died of a broken heart. [My father] doesn't really care. He's more worried about his career and his image than his own family."

In a December 2015 interview on EWTN's World Over with Raymond Arroyo, Lewis expressed opposition to the United States letting in Syrian refugees, saying "No one has worked harder for the human condition than I have, but they're not part of the human condition if 11 guys in that group of 10,000 are ISIS. How can I take that chance?"[52] In the same interview, he criticized President Barack Obama for not being prepared for ISIS, while expressing support for Donald Trump, saying he would make a good president because he was a good "showman". He also added that he admired Ronald Reagan's presidency.

91 is a heck of a run.

And for a guy his age, he really did look like the Jerry Lewis I've always known, and not the health challenged version of the 90's ?

Amazing life. Though I still will never forgive him for "Hardly Working" . One of the worst movies I ever saw in a theatre.

Be at peace.

He made up for it a couple of years later with The King Of Comedy. But I remember liking it on cable anyway because it featured two Star Trek icons, Susan Oliver and Roger C. Carmel.

Jerry Lewis left 6 sons from first marriage out of will

He made tearful pleas for "Jerry's Kids" during his telethons — but in the end, Jerry Lewis left all six kids from his first marriage out of his will.

The comedy icon and host of the Muscular Dystrophy Association's annual telethons signed a last will and testament in 2012 that excluded — by name — the sons he shared with first wife Patti Palmer, according to the blast.com.

"I have intentionally excluded Gary Lewis, Ronald Lewis, Anthony Joseph Lewis, Christopher Joseph Lewis, Scott Anthony Lewis and Joseph Christopher Lewis and their descendants as beneficiaries of my estate, it being my intention that they shall receive no benefits hereunder," the will obtained by the website read.

With his sons omitted, Lewis left his potentially massive estate to widow SanDee Pitnick, according to The Blast.

The next person in line is the couple's 25-year-old daughter Danielle.

So, we know what he did, but why did he do it ?

I mean, from the sidewalk observation, that's a real dick move on his part.

There's a ' rest of the story ' part to this, I'm sure, but will we hear it ? Does it matter ? Were they cool w/ it ? Or was it as it seems... one last dick move by a guy we really didn't know ?

Jerry Lewis, 1926 til now.
He teamed with Dean Martin (Martin & Lewis) from 1946 to 1956.
That's how I remember him; didn't know they split after only
10 years. From '49 to '56, he/they made abt (20) movies.
Wikipedia: "Martin and Lewis were the hottest act in America
during the early '50s, as well as the highest paid act in show
business according to a 1951 LIFE Magazine article ..." also: He
was closely associated with the Muscular Dystrophy Association,
thru telethons, raised a lot of money for it.
He also had a number of health problems for which he took
a lot of drugs.
He supported Donald Trump, saying he would make a good
president because he was a good "showman". (Hmmmm?)

... oooOO}{OOooo ...
