I see threads posted involving spoilers and am often left wondering where the spoiler is. See, telling us that

Select to view spoiler:

River says the word "Reavers" in the trailer! OMGWTF!!!1

doesn't strike me as a spoiler. Now, if you were to say

Select to view spoiler:

Mal kills Kaylee in the first three minutes of the film. With his toes! OMGWTF!!!1

I'd consider that a spoiler. Saying that we'll see more into the pasts of Book, River, and Inara in the film isn't a spoiler unless someone tells what the actual revealed secrets are. But that's just me. Anyone else's thoughts?

ZOE: Now we have a boatful of citizens right on top of our... stolen cargo. That's a fun mix.
MAL: Ain't no way in the 'verse they could find that compartment, even--Even if they were lookin' for it.
ZOE: Why not?
MAL: 'Cause... ?
ZOE: Oh yeah, this is gonna go great.
MAL: If anyone gets nosy, just, you know...shoot 'em.
ZOE: Shoot 'em?
MAL: Politely.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

I don't think even reading the script would ruin the film for me, 'cause I trust Joss to dazzle me.

The reason that spoilers are marked is so that we can make our own decisions about how much we want to know ahead of time. While I can understand others wanting to know more, I'm the kind of person who hates myself afterwards if I peek at the ending of a book. I, personally, aim to avoid spoilers like they were plague-ridden Reavers until that magic day in April.

That being said, perhaps some people are over zealous in marking "spoilers", but I think they're just airing on the side of caution to protect spoiler-phobes like me, and for that consideration, I say thank you.

The woods are the only place where I can see a clear path.
