I just watched my favorite episodes for the fourth time, and decided I'd see what kind of fanbase there was on the internet. This site is great, I had no idea there's so much support for Firefly. It's the best thing I've seen on television, but I figured that since it was taken off air after less than a full season, everybody else in the world was nuts. I didn't even know there was going to be a movie until today! This is awsome.
Here's to getting Firefly back on the air some day.

Welcome to the board, Agehn! We all would love to see more Firefly, on the big screen and/or on TV -- the best way to help make that happen is to introduce all your friends, family, co-workers, and strangers you meet on the street to the show. Lend out your DVDs or better yet, buy a 2nd set for conversions! :)

Jayne, your mouth is talkin. Might want to look into that.

Well, I already have a second set.. I lent the first to a friend, and got it back without the third disc but at least he enjoyed it.

Welcome Agehn!
You are most welcome to the Firefly family!
I loved Firefly from the minute it hit the airwaves and when Fox pulled it's usual stunt and cancelled it, I knew immediately the fans would rally - and boy did they - myself included. You will find many a friend in your love of this incredible show.
If you want to really get an understanding of the support, check out the various links to pictures and stories from DragonCon - the scifi convention just held Labor Day weekend, here in Atlanta. You'll hear tales of full-to-capacity rooms every time Nathan, Jewel and Adam appeared. I myself attended and now am the proud owner of autographed pics and my most prized possessions - pictures of myself with Nathan and Adam!! *sigh*
We all cannot wait for the movie!

so WELCOME!!

Welcome!

While you're poking around here you might want to check out Saint Jayne's battle of serenity game. That is, unless you haven't already found it.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Welcome Agehn! Glad to have you with us. Welcome to the beautiful addiction that is Firefly.

Great work loaning out the DVD set. That is exactly what each and every Browncoat needs to be doing to help expand the fan base. The more DVD sales and movie tickets sold, the better the odds of getting more fans and two more movies.

It kind of concerns me when you said in the other thread that you did not even know a movie was on the way. It makes me wonder how many other Browncoats are out there that have not gotten online to learn the movie is on the way or don't even know about the DVD set.

Yup, that's us. A small island of sanity in the madness of reality.
Welcome again, Agehn. Hope you enjoy your time here.

Thanks for the warm welcome, everybody! This is a great place.
The movie wasn't the only thing I didn't know about; there's a ton of background info on the Firefly universe that I had no idea about -- all I've seen are the shows. I'm going to enjoy sifting through this entire site and learning about Blue Sun and the rest of it.
Need.. more.. Firefly..

That is one of the great things you will discover about Firefly Agehn. Even though we were only graced w/ 14 episodes, the show was rich in nuances and magnificent detail. Joss is a genius. I have been through the DVD set 14 times now, and I still find little things I missed before, or parts of conversations that lead me down paths for potential plots and backstory.

I can't really answer that. I had just watched them all for the fourth time
Maybe after the fifth or sixth time I'll pick one.
