May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Morena Baccarin, who plays Inara Serra in the Firefly television series and upcoming Serenity movie, is providing the voice of Black Canary in Cartoon Network's Justice League Unlimited.

Black Canary will be featured in the Season 4 episode, "Double Date," which is written by Gail Simone. The episode also features Kin Shriner as Green Arrow, Amy Acker as The Huntress and Jeffrey Combs as The Question, along with some other guest voices to be announced.

Baccarin is one of several Firefly/Serenity cast members to lend their voices to Justice League Unlimited.

As previously reported, Nathan Fillion is voicing Vigilante and Gina Torres is voicing Vixen. Adam Baldwin is voicing a villain in the season finale.

"We're so lucky to get these people. And they're so happy to come and play," Justice League voice director Andrea Romano told The Continuum. "And when they work their schedules out so we can get them in the room at the same time, we also get a better product and they have a better time."

I admit that I watch this cartoon (ok, I'm a big kid) w/ my son and it is pretty good. I will be looking forward to hearing the voices of our BDHs on the show.

Adam as a villian? Shiny!

To wubba who?

Um, is Canada (again) three years behind the times, or is JLU just a rename of JL (meaning that JL S4 = JLU S1)?

I just saw my first JLU episode two Fridays ago. A three-or-more year lag wouldn't surprise me (it is Canada, after all ), but I hadn't even heard of this show before that (as I usually do from my USian friends).

The way I understand it Cybersnark, the JLU is simply a renaming of JL and are considered the same series. Season 4 will be the 2nd season of JLU if I am not mistaken.

This is sorta like all the ST:TNG people appearing on Gargoyles. (which I watch occasionaly, not that I can ever keep up with the plot line.) I adored Marina Syrtis (Deanna Troy), I wanted to be her, alas I am far too blonde...

I've only seen one episode of JLU. Now I'll have to watch more. which is just great beacuse I already get too much grief about being an adult who watches cartoons. (I could go on and on about how unfair it is, guys can watch all the cartoons they want but girls over the age of ten can't! )

JLU is created by the same team that made Batman The Animated Series (producer Bruce Timm) back in the early 90s. It's a great show, with compelling storylines, too. And with BDH voices, it's a must-see.

As far as I know, some sonic scream thing called a "Canary Cry". Her mother, Diana, was the first Black Canary and through radiation or something, her daugther, Dinah, developed meta-powers. Dinah's also skilled in the martial arts.

This news is so cool! I love the Justice League cartoon series. We haven't got any of the JLU title over here in the UK yet, but I expect it'll arrive on Toonami at some point!

Toonami is such a wonderful channel, they sometimes do marathons at the weekend - a weekend of nothing but the Justice League... *happy sigh*
