Well guys (and girl-folk), I was reading the Serenity entry up at IMDB. And it listed under Original Music Composed by Mark Brooks (for the Fruity Oaty Bars deally) and Carter Burwell. I was reading Burwell's filmography on what movies he has composed music for. He has composed for The Alamo, worked on O Brother Where Art Thou?, The Rookie, The Ladykillers, and Mystery Alaska. I personally think he is a great choice, though I'll miss Greg Edmondson's contribution to the project. Just thought I should post this.

Although I wish they would have retained Edmonson, Carter Burwell did an excellent job on the Alamo soundtrack. So this is good news!

Does anyone know why they didn't keep Greg? I seem to remember that, in the initial stages of planning for the movie, he was going to be the guy. What happened that he didn't end up doing it?

I wonder if he composed the music for the scene in The Alamo where Davy Crockett plays his fiddle along with the Mexican death song. I thought Firefly the first time I heard it...
