Anyone else have Ideas for Firefly fanvids, but lack the time and software (not to mention know-how) to make them?

I do..

I'd like to see on e done to the theme song from HBO's Deadwood. Something centered around people, especially scenes like them riding the horses, or in the shootout with Patience. Scenes that have that old-west feel to them, with the occasional scene that reminds you this isn't a western :)

Wanted Dead or Alive by Bon Jovi - matching scenes to the words, with lots of chase scenes :)

Desperado by the Eagles would be good choice, too.

Oh, Bad Company by Bad Company.

Most of these are my husband's ideas, but I like them. I considered trying to make one of these myself, but I am just way too lazy :P

1. David Bowie's "Space Oddity/Ground Control to Major Tom"; mostly "Out of Gas", a slower, almost introspective piece.

2. Drowning Pool's "Bodies (Let the bodies hit the floor)"; a River-centric action vid.

3. Song: "Vindicated" by Dashboard Confessional
Theme: All the different kinds of love on Serenity
Examples:
Simon/River: fraternal
Mal/Inara: Unrequited
Zoe/Wash: Romantic
Mal or Jayne/Kaylee: fraternal, maybe more
Book/his book: devout
Simon/Kaylee: challenged, but hopeful
Jayne/Vera: just a little bit silly
Mal/Serenity: hrmm, how to clasify that one?

The lyrics to the song don't really lend themselves to this theme, but I feel the overall mood does. In my mind, I see the vid ending with a still shot of Serenity and the line "like slow spinning redemption."

4. Oh and that quiry song that goes "She thinks she missed the train to Mars, she's out back counting stars" could make a hellacious River vid.

Knock yourself out, but be sure to send me a copy.

I agree! Wanted: Dead or Alive would make a great song for a fan vid. I would also suggest Blaze of Glory from Bon Jovi (Young Guns II soundtrack).

Another great song for a fan vid! I could easily see a River vid to this song.

I would suggest the song Simple Man by Lynard Skynard for a Mal video. Every time I hear that song I think of Mal.

Wow! Lots and lots of ideas. :)

I've seen the Shot down in a Blaze of Glory and Wanted Dead or Alive done so many times in the Anime Music Video community, it's not funny. -_-; Especially to an anime called "Trigun". It's a Sci-Fi western too. Has anyone see it?

I like the Desperado idea. I'll have to relisten to it and see if enough ideas come to me.

(If I make an fanvid and I was inspired by anyone here, I'll credit you for the suggestion.)
