I've recently started thinking about what someone else said in another thread.

It was in regards to the scene, I believe in The Train Job (I don't currently have my DVD's so I could be wrong), where the Jayne, Mal and Zoe are playing Chinese Checkers.

That person was saying that they should've been playing another game. Something that is a very common game that the Chinese gamble on. I can remember the name of it nor can I find the original thread.

Does someone out there know which game it is?

If I have this right, Mahjong is a game for four players and Go is a game for two, so neither would have been suitable for that scene... sorry I can't offer any suggestions, though.

And I think Go is a Japanese game, not Chinese.

'Yes... this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... "this land".' 'I think we should call it your grave.' 'Ah! Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!'

From what I understand, pai gow might work. It's the Chinese form of dominoes.

And it's not to be confused with pai gow poker, which is a wholly American casino invention involving cards instead of tiles.
