The music at the end of the "The Message" is just too moving, a real masterpeice within Firefly. I was wondering if anyone else has had any luck in finding a raw version of the song? mp3 or whatever. I'd really like to have that, but no luck yet.

I would love it if all the music was released on CD but I guess that`s still along way off if it happens at all.

Incidently according to the DVD, this was the episode that the crew found out that the series had been dropped by Fox - makes it even more sad

I hope the Movie Soundtrack appeals in the same way as the TV Series.

A few things on this. First, no music from Firefly has been released ... yet. The Fox Music store has been indicating for some time that something Firefly is coming, but nothing so far:

Here's a relevant highlighted quote from the top of the page:

"There was a long cue at the end of The Message. It was a very sad cue for me. It was the scene where Tracy dies, but I didn't write that music for him. I wrote it for Firefly. I wrote it to say goodbye to Firefly. " » Greg Edmonson

When he wrote it, they knew the series had been cancelled and The Message would be the last episode filmed.

Sneaker98 has done a huge amount of work in at least making audio extractions from the DVDs available - check this thread:

HOWEVER, that server is unfortunately very, very intermitent - it seems to be down today. It was apparently working a week or so ago. I suggest checking back every so often - it's worth it. I have all of them loaded in my mp3 player and wouldn't want to be without them.

the movie is not the Series. Only the facts have been changed, to irritate the innocent; the names of the actors and characters remain the same
