Well, I lurk no longer. I've been hanging around for awhile, now i'm posting. And um... hi.... I look forward to offering lots of varying opinions and such. And now, while I can guess that some of you have memorized the google search results for "Firefly", in case you all havent, here is something cool.

http://www.twiztv.com/scripts/firefly/

The original shooting scripts. Some cut scenes are in there, and its good reading regardless. Probably you all knew about this all along, but in case you didnt.... enjoy.

P.S. Download all is a good option, for some offline fun, and in case the site stops offering it, lol.

"But these are not times for extraordinary men... Business is not war, heroics are unseemly; they complicate."

How can I pick my favorite quote, gorramit?!

That`s fantastic!

The zip file for all the scripts is less than 400k so it`s not a big download - I`m going to have to get some more ink for my printer, to get these printed for Serenity Con - Friends,Drink & Acting out a favourite scene

... fully loaded, safety off...

Thx and hello! I love reading the scripts - lots of extra info included even if it's just in the direction, stage business stuff, it's still from "the writers" and I consider it bonus goodness. The unfilmed (unvideoed?) script Dead or Alive is one of my favorites:

Cool...I always use 'Whoa, Good Myth" (never remember the name of the site, just the google search terms I use to find it...like "Hello, Cowgirl") to get all the transcripts, except for the ones hosted here on our very own FFF.net

Jayne, your mouth is talkin. Might want to look into that.

Incidentally, this version of the script to Serenity (the pilot) has the same missing lines at the end of the teaser as every other version I've seen on-line. Anyone have a complete version? (of the original pilot, not the one with the re-shot teaser showing the battle of SV)

Whitefall:

Congratulations on de-lurking! Yeah, I've had the TWIZ TV site bookmarked almost from the get-go, 'coz you better not bring any "I think he said something like..." when you argue a plot point with these folks. They'll pull your wings off and make a party hat out of you.

In a nice way, of course...

Respectfully,

zoid

P.S.
Am I the only one who can read a script and see the show in my head? That's how many times I've seen them. Same thing works for Monty Python movies ( http://www.intriguing.com/mp/).

I will say that I for one can pretty much visualize the show from the scripts, hehe. And nowadays, I sometimes have trouble watching FF itself, cause like monkey island, I can pretty much quote it by heart.... Then i sit down and watch it, and its still good. :)

(And yeah, i assumed most of you would know the scripts, i just didnt want another "hi i'm XXXXXX" post to introduce myself.)

I think they're well-written, well-acted, and well-thought-out enough that we would probably be able to visualize them near perfectly even if we were reading them before seeing the episode. :)
