I've recently decided to start blogging on politics and conflict resolution as an extension of a thesis I'm writing. I have a domain name I'd like to use, and i would like to use a free provider (but I would pay a modest amount the the quality were worlds apart) and I was hoping some veteran bloggers might provide some advice or testimonials for the blogging platforms they use. I know some of you even blog from you own domains. Any advice?

FYI: I haven't coded any web pages since HS but I'm sure I could pick it back up if it's necessary.

If voting mattered, they'd make it illegal.

I know lots of folks that use Moveable Type. It's good and I considered it when I was looking for new blogging code last spring. On my site, I use an ASP blog that Jake and I wrote together...okay he wrote most of it but I helped!

TWG!

Thanks. I had noted that your blog didn't look like the others. And some of my favorite are done in movable type (either cafe Hyak or Marginal revolution.) Your page is distinctive and you use your own domain so I'm glad you answered!
