I proceed to tell him about this heroic show cancelled before its time with a cult following..and you know what he does

...He starts singing the Enterprisetheme

Anyway, glad you liked it!

Well, to be fair, it does qualify.

That's yet another cult following that I belong to.

"Yeah, I had a feeling about you two when I saw your Rorschach tests."
(Quick, what movie?)

Good to hear things are going well (well, I mean as good as they can be, what with Iraq and all...).
Stay safe now, y'hear?

Chriswithoutpezisall

I will, and I really, really hate to admit this, but I have no idea where that quote comes from.

Always good to hear from you guys...Partially one of the reasons I resurrected the thread. That, and TWG said that she was having a hard time finding threads on here that actually dealt with Firefly.

So, she's partially to blame.

BULLETINTHEBRAINPANSQUISH

Had a complete "Our Mrs Reynolds" moment at university today. In my International Security class, we were talking about how self defence is the best defence anyone can have when facing a murder charge (apart from being innocent of course). The lecturer says "because if someone attacks you, society recognises that you have a right to defend yourself". I'm just sitting there biting my lower lip with my eyes closed as Mal's voice goes in my head "Someone tries to kill you, well, you try and kill em right back!".

Then later in another class, we were talking about strange traditions etc, and I just distractedly say "Well, some people juggle geese.". The entire class did this complete double-take, and looked at me like I was completely nuts. But hey, at least I got a laugh out of it when I realised what I'd actually said.

Mal gives control of the ship to Zoe...
Mal: If I'm not back in an hour, you come, and you rescue me.
Zoe: What? And risk my ship?

Superman 2, eh? Wasn't a huge fan myself, but...whattya gonna do?

I am in Iraq right now, and yes, the office here supplies me with a bit of time to get on the internet.

Firefly episodes and Serenity are on the Morale server here, so anyone who wants to can see them at any time.

TWG has been sending me care packages, and has even sent me a CLEP guide so I can knock a test out while I'm here. smart girl, her.

That's...that about it.

I had one today but please don't think I'm weird.

It's all over the news that Angelina Jolie is adopting a child from Vietnam and what is she naming it, Pax. The first thing I think is, "Why is she naming the child after a drug that created reavers?"

The cool part, I found out the Pax means peace, which is just the effect the drug was supposed to have on people.

Thank Universal for airing Firefly in HD at

I do not believe that we have actually met. My loss for lurking for so long. (Jan 2003 - Sept 2005 )

Slept in the same hammock? (!!!) No, but I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night, and I
remember the "I Am Not a Guy/Clubhouse" thread. By the way, I am a guy.

"Intervention for Malicious" thread? I am going to have to read up.

Hijack one of my threads? I did not have a thread for you to hijack. (But I know even that could not have stopped you.)

You and those around you did cause me to laugh that sudden "left-something-on-the-monitor-laugh" on several occasions. For that, I am short a few bottles of cleaner, but grateful.

Now, when a thread is hijacked, or I hijack a thread, I look around nervously, expecting Malmageddon. (SNORT!)

Finding fff.net was, in its own way, a Firefly Moment for me. Good to see you around!

You have no idea how warm and fuzzy this sentiment caused me to feel. It quite literally brung a tear to this here eye. Pez and ChrisIsAll did the same above.

I truly miss my buddy Zoid. He has the uncanny ability to make even the simplest concept or thought amazingly complex. But funny too.

My other buddy, Jefe, is missed as well. As are TRM, TWG, Ebo, Good OLD Neroli, Mom and KGB. Also, others whom I have forgotten to mention who will be pissed at me no doubt.

Now that I have thoroughly hi-jacked this thread, I will lurk for a while.

WORLEY3000

Hello there,
I've only been into Firefly since the movie came out, I was a recent fan of Buffy and Angel, and the I heard about Firefly when they brought it back to SciFi, I instantly fell in love with it, and have showed Serenity to people who have fell in love with it, and I'm still fighting the good fight and speading the word.
As recently as this week I have gotten 2 people interested.
I live in a actual town called Canton, Ga, so I take some pride in that and sing "Hero of Canton" alot.
We also live near Cobb county.

I watched a marathon of Firefly yesterday which inspired me to come to some threads here.

Thank you for listening.
I just wanted to share my story a bit, and let you guys know that theres people out there who are finding out the greatness of Firefly everyday
