My take on Joss's new show and how it relates to Firefly

I posted this over in the general topic but I figured I'd put this portion of the post here. I think it might be worth some consideration.

I think it's a good idea that the studio see loyalty in Joss's flock. Whether or not you want to watch the show I think you should... for firefly's sake. Or at least make like you're watching it.
Wheather it's true or not if the studio see's that Joss has this large group of people willing to support his new project, that translates into dollar signs for them. And dollar signs are good!

I think we should all find forums for the new show and all keep our firefly avatars and sigs at the bottom. Discuss the show honestly and discuss how much we like that Joss is doing it. All the while making refferences back to Firefly. I think a large browncaot presence on the new show's boards could help us to win some new firefly supporters. People could be into this new thing without ever having heard of Firefly. This is a chance for us to win new soldiers!
I also think that Joss will probably work in some firefly refferences on the new show and it would be good for us to be pointing those out on f*x's boards.

So what do you guys and gals think?

I think you are correct on this.. and being that it is Joss... it probably won't be much of a sacrifice to actually WATCH the show...

but the more we are out there, in force with Firefly on our minds and sigs.. the more they will notice

I agree, and I'd venture to say that supporting all genre shows on their boards and being a strong Browncoat presence would be a good idea. I'm not talking overbearing here, just subtle...sigs and avatars and the words we use.

The more folks outside the fandom are aware of FF/S, and then watch it and like it, the more there are of us--then the bigger pool of money we are for the studio.

I know when I see a Heroes or BSG sig or avatar it reminds me that I want to catch up with those shows. On other boards, our sigs and avatars could do the same.

As to being loyal to Joss' show. Yup... great idea and fun too!

Glad To See im not the only one who thinks its a good idea to show our presence. . . politely of course. . . but i think it cant hurt to let them know that us browncoats are still here. . . sitting here in front of a nice warm fire. . . does my heart good to see you all tonight. . . just wish i knew how to play the firefly theme on guitar. . . lets talk more about this though. . . long live serenity. . . long live firefly. . .
