Likes to mess with stuffs.

It's the news that no-one really expected, even though many wanted it: Dollhouse is coming back for a second season. But will it be the same show? Not exactly; here're some changes to expect.

Thanks for posting the article, it had some good insights.

Fox doesn't care about how viewers feel (you saw "Moment of Truth," right?). No, Fox renewed "Dollhouse" because it thinks it can make money off the project — enough to keep the enterprise profitable.

Quelle Surprise! Fox not caring.........No!!!!!!!!
I'm hoping that Fox will keep their untalented paws off the scripts and let Joss do his thing. Not only will it kick ass (no matter that it will continue in the Friday slot) but it will do so much better than S1 creatively. It is well known
in TV land that Joss's eps get better over time, come on, (as Homer would say - Doh!) it's common knowledge.

But for our 'good' friends at Faux it's all about the Benjamins. As it said in the article - a deal was made to keep DH going. Their wish is coming true. Regardless, Dollhouse S2 will be great. You heard it here first folks.

Epitaph One as the season opener - typical of Faux. My hope/wish is that Joss concentrate on the inner workings of the DH. The lifes of the actives, their relationships with the handlers (specifically Boyd and Echo) and Ballard's deal with the Boss Lady to release Mellie ahead of schedule. That's much more interesting than the assignments (unless, of course, the assignments involve DH people). What do the other DH's think of the LA DH? The possibilities are endless.

It's gonna be fun!

Uh... yeah... anyone who doesn't think this is true of every single network, you're kidding yourselves. They don't do it as an altruistic endeavor, folks....

BLACKOUTNIGHTS

I am completely shocked by this renewal.

It'll be interesting to see what happens next. I read somewhere that Acker and the FBI agent dude could play roles in two new network shows next season that hadn't been picked up yet (as of the time I read that information which was a week or two ago). My bet is that they stay on with Dollhouse now that it has another 13 episodes.

With NCIS, The Mentalist and The Big Bang Theory also returning next season, my interest in watching in television has been revived for the time being. That means less time playing World of Warcraft and more time being a couch potato.

"What? Me, worry?"

Tamoh Pinikett (the FBI guy) is the lead in the new SyFy Riverworld, but it may just be a TV movie, like the last. Even if it does go to series, SyFy (I'm trying to get used to typing that) runs shorter seasons, opposite the normal network season, so it'd be possible for him to do both, like Katee Sackhoff did when she was on BSG and Bionic Woman concurrently.

Whereas the license paid stations of Europe tries to make sure they cover as many different topics and types of programming in their programmes, regardless of number of viewers.

Hmm.... not really sure how I feel about this. I'm definitely glad to see Joss have some "success", but Dollhouse holds the least appeal for me of all his work. Figures. I was kinda looking forward to what his next thing would be.

Shocking, isn't it?

I do not give Fox anything out of an altruistic desire to be nice to their shareholders - and yet they are not prepared to do anything out of an altruistic desire to be nice to me.
