After seeing last night's ratings for Dollhouse and the lack of advertising for the show, I've been tossing around the idea of having a contest to promote fan advertising for the show.

Just off the top of my head I was thinking of having prizes for best viral video, best writing (fiction and nonfiction), and best poster. I would be looking for volunteers to help judge and any suggestions for prizes.

Is this a good idea? Is there any interest here? Let me know what you guys think.

Count me in... Do you want people here to help with advertising and promotions? Because I'm up for that. I've done a little editing in my time and I have the means to do some graphics etc. Do you have anything specific in mind?

Oh and I just joined Activate the Dollhouse.

I joined too.

And at this point, I'd be up for anything to promote Dollhouse. It's sad seeing the lack of support for the show even on this site.

But on another note, does anyone know where you can download clips, episodes, ect. from the show to make fan videos? I would be interested in doing something like this, but i just don't know where to get the video from.

Just so you know, I've pretty much dropped my idea and decided to fully support the people who put this site together. Seems they know more than me about this kind of stuff (computer/web related) than I do.

I don't know where you can find clips online, but if it's in your budget you can always buy the DVD and rip them onto your computer.

thanks for the suggestion. I have the dvd but ripping it is proving to be difficult. Hopefully it will work though. If it does i'll try and have some sort of fan trailer edited together soon and i'll post i here.

I know this is sort of an old thread now, but i just found this site. It looks to be taking some real steps at advertising for the show. The site even has a cafe press store in which the proceeds off the merchandise will go to the advertising campaign! Its definitely worth checking out.
