Hey - anybody know if any browncoats are planning anything for the con? Or does anyone know if there will be nifty merchandise-y stuff (like buttons etc) to promote the movie?

My brother's talking about going, but it's a hefty admission - not sure if it's going to be worth it, if the only reason I'm interested is to help promote Serenity. Feel silly being the only browncoat in evidence.

Plus... I SO need a costume O_o

A large contingent of very active Seattle Browncoats post regularly over on the Universal Serenity board.

You should check over there to see if they have plans.

SCHERAZELL

There was ONE (I think) panel talking about Firefly which was REALLY well attended. Not many people in costume from the show (that I could tell), but seeing how alot of the outfits could be worn as everyday wear - it's hard to spot them. I've got a few picts of the panel I'll try and link to...(see at bottom)

But the panelists discussed the two teaser trailer/ clips they'd seen (at San Diego con?? not sure) and we had a guy named Jeff who works for a prop company that a whole bunch of their stuff got used in the show AND will be used in the movie. All he could tell us is that for a fact a 'ident machine' that they made will be used. He got to actually go on tour of the set and had picts of the sets (no action, just of the ship). Sorry I can't remember exact quotes of what was said and such...
