...because all the actors are to old? I'd love to see the "Blade Runner 2" but how will they do it? Yet another reboot? Then again they've been doing alot of those to date. Reboots are the thing of the future! Welcome to the future!

Give up John, the future sucks.

Another thread implied Deckard was human. Was that ever established in any version of the first installment?

Funny, that 5 1/2 years after this thread was started, we're just now seeing trailers.

I hope the anticipation doesn't fall flat. I liked the original, but wasn't crazy about it. I respect what it was, and also what it wasn't. I hope that what set it apart is more in line with what carries over to the sequel, but it's so rare such things happen.

Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull comes to mind. ( sorry, it was just painful to watch )

So many overt clues seem to suggest that he's also a replicant, which I think doesn't make for as good a story.

Fathom the hypocrisy of a government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured... but not everyone must prove they are a citizen

Have you seen Arrival? The same director for BR2, so I am hopeful.

Yes, I DID see Arrival. Although confusing , I generally liked it. Kinda on the same level as Interstellar, but not quite as mind blowing.

( I'd like to be proven wrong, but I'm more of a SETI guy, and think any contact we make with intelligent life " out there " will be of a species that has long since gone extinct. )

Why confusing?
I'd love to hear your take on the discussion thread.

Wasn't there some type of dimensional / time loop sort of twist to the movie ? Might have to rewatch , but it seemed a tad hinky to me. That's all. Not in a bad way, of course.

That was integral to the beauty of the story. Since you've already seen it, check out our discussion thread, see if anything resonates.

Hang on to your hats...I just read an article by Joshua Rothkopf, and he gave it 4 out of 5 Stars. He says it is worthy of praise and captures the essence of the original without being repressively derivative.

Oh, I'm getting goosebumps......like Christmas morning.

I think you'll like BR2049. It's not a reboot.
