The Joss Whedon script for Serenity, where Wash lives, is Serenity-190pages.pdf at www.mediafire.com/folder/1uwh75oa407q8/Firefly

The UK changed trailers on Monday, March 19th.

The UK trailer differs from the USA trailer, which is enough reason for me to watch both.

ANOTHERSKY

VEVO wouldn't let me watch another video without putting up with this trailer first. I was about to click off, when I what to my wondering eyes should appear...

but a firefly class descending through stormy atmo.

WHAT.

Got my attention enough to keep watching.

It's clearly an homage, if not an unvarnished rip-off with some extra turbo boosters on the back to keep it updated.

Good job, Ridley Scott. Don't mess it up.

This shot from the Prometheus trailer reminded me of a scene from the Operative's spaceship:

Can't wait to see Prometheus.

Amazing similarity. Good catch!

But when I was watching the trailer, as that scene came up, I thought of Wash and YoSaffBridge, sitting together, in the dark...

Of course, all this comes back around, as we remember the bridge of The Betty, from A.R.

ALIEN came on the t.v. today, and I had to re-watch the first 30-40 minutes. Been a while since I'd seen the very start. So very cool.

Save for the 'dated' computer equip / monitors, it was better than I remembered.

Some things reminded me of Firefly. Things I'm sure get brought up, but just came back to me, as I was watching...

The 'feel' of the Nostromo, especially looking down the passageways. The exposed piping, the metal grates, the industrial side of the ship, made me think of Serenity a bit.

The dinning table scenes, where everyone is there. Though not quite the warm, family feel that we saw on Serenity.

And the big towers of the Nostromo. The 4 vertical structures, were damn near identical to the Alliance's Dortmunder, from the 'verse.
