I think I will celebrate by going to see GotG2. Showing at 7, 7:06, 7:30, 8, 8:30 and more.

RIP Princess.

This entire weekend they were showing the original trilogy on TNT. Somehow they managed to still give me the old goosebumps.

And again. This must be the 41st applicable day.

I celebrated by watching Logan's Run last night after midnight. From the year before Star Wars, and although PG, had boobs, pubes, hiney, full frontal. I had forgotten those parts.

Yeah. It's pretty strange times we're living in today. You can have all the violence you want in a movie and still make it PG, but put a boob on camera or drop more than one F bomb and all of the sudden it's not kid friendly.

I didn't even know the original Clash of the Titans showed all that nudity until I saw it in my 20's. The times it was on when I was a kid they always censored it out on TV.

Do Right, Be Right. :)

You mean the 1981 version? After Star Wars came out 4 years earlier, some Special Effects were pitiful.

I also thought it humorous that Jacqueline Bisset's first (and maybe only) fully nude scene was in G-rated Airport.

Yeah. The 1981 version. I said the "original" but there may have been another one before it.

It really did have horrible special effects, but that's part of the charm of it for me. I wouldn't say it's one of the greats or anything, and it is too long of a movie, but I do give it a watch every 10 years or so. I had a huge love of Greek/Roman/Norse mythology when I was in grade school.

Do Right, Be Right. :)

And again for 2019.

Too bad there are no Rogue One or Solo in the future.

Rogue One is on TNT tonite at 9pm. It's also been added to the free movies list On Demand for TNT. I watched it this morning, that being about the 10th time I've seen it. It's my favorite Star Wars movie by far.

It is in my Top 3, with Ep IV and VI. Hard to gauge them on the same scale when so many decades passed between their releases. Solo was better than VII, VIII, but not sure where among the rest I place it. I own RO, not sure if I grabbed Solo yet.

Rogue One and Solo were killed by SJW Star Wars.

Disney's greed and feeling they had to put a Star Wars movie out every single year didn't help either.

You can still find Force Awakens toys at some retail outlets. The main SW movies might have grossed a good amount, at least so far, but nobody is going to remember them 10, 20, 30 years later like they did the original trilogy.

Do Right, Be Right. :)

You won't remember them in 30 years due to dementia, and I'll be taking a dirt nap for sure.

I won't remember them 5 minutes from now since I've never seen any of them.

I've never seen The Force Awakens or The Last Jedi, but I feel I've heard so much about them at this point that I might have.

This guy makes it sound potentially awesome though...

This is a great channel. I love this guys theories on movies.

Just my opinions...

Force Awakens > just ok

Last Jedi > dumb, hated it

Rogue One > loved it, finally after 40 years a Star Wars movie for adults

Solo > waiting for it to be on cable
