Still shocked.
IMDb says Alan Tudyk is in it, with Matt Damon. Wonder if he says anything shiny-like to Morena.
I didn't recall hearing that Brad Pitt was in it, either.

The last I checked, Incredibles did not have a release date. But this past weekend it was apparently out.
So I checked again on the other undated films.
All About Nina was listed as released 22 April, and I never saw anything about it.
Only one other had a release date, so I updated that. Still a bunch with 2018 as the release date at IMDb.

Looks like next up will be Alita on 20 July.

I've been very busy, and will be for some weeks, but I hope to catch that when it comes out. I might make it to a midnight show, which I certainly expect to be.

Moon was one of the last truly excellent films I've seen.

I had the pleasure of seeing it for the first time twice, actually.

Saw it on my dad's old 36" tube TV, and then a few months later watched it with my brother on his new-at-the-time 1080 flatscreen. It was the first movie I'd ever seen on a large true HD screen and it was simply amazing. Even though I probably wouldn't put Moon in my top 10 movies of all time, I will surely never forget it because of that moment. I imagine it was somewhat similar the feeling people got the first time they saw a movie in color.

Do Right, Be Right. :)

In the 80s I watched movies a lot, far more than I do now.
I had set up my home system with calibrated sound imaging, which my guests found amazing and disorienting.
The first cinema film I saw with the Surround Sound was Aliens. I remember that quite clearly, and I consider it one of the best films in history.

I haven't really been seeing any TV in Prime Time lately, but I conjured I would have been inundated with ads for Alita by now. Haven't seen one in months, I think.

A Simple Favor.
Although Anna Kendrick's onslaught of bland roles in bland movies has underwhelmed me, and I am not enamored by Blake Lively, I find this film sounds interesting. I don't know why, but I am hopeful.
Out 14 September.

Also has Gia from the SJW reboot of Greatest American Hero.

I'm done watching anything that Hollywood creates.

Being a survivor of a 4 man beat down and having been stabbed by a black man, I find this tweet extremely offensive.

Violence is bad, no matter when and where and to whom it happens to.

I'm tired of these elite and over privliged and overpaid actors and actresses and directors and producers telling us how we should think and feel and act.

I won't even watch any more Hollywood movies for free on KODI. I've already largely tuned out just because most of it is so bad anyhow, but now it's official.

With Melonie Diaz in All About Nina with Mary Elizabeth Winstead, maybe they waited to schedule the release so it would coincide with Melonie's new TV show.

Since Star Wars isn't on the menu, plus I don't believe any of the MCU is on hand, they figured that why not position Battle Angel to rake in the dough.

Sucks for us, the sci-fi fan, but good for them.

I see that Nomis filming was Feb-April 2017. And reportedly Alexandra and Zac were together then, so him visiting the set was possible.

I didn't even know Bumble Bee was in the works, the fan favorite Transformer.

I get the feeling that Michael Bay is the type that would play fast and loose with his own cannon.

I don't mean to be insulting, but I also don't get the feeling that anybody who gets their money's worth out of the Transformers movies is really looking for a coherent story to dissect after they watch it either.

I know I would have loved them when I was a kid, but time for this type of stuff is non-existant for me these days. I've only seen 1 movie this year and about 20 hours of TV shows. A Bumble Bee prequel is not going to make the short list of anything I might close 2018 out with.

Quote:

Nina Geld (Winstead) is a bracingly funny and blisteringly provocative stand-up comedian whose career is taking off, but whose personal life is a near-complete disaster. To escape a difficult ex and to prepare for a prospectively life-changing audition, Nina flees to Los Angeles where she meets Rafe (Common), who challenges almost every preconception she has -- including those around her own deeply troubled past

I'm hoping they go light on the comedy / Stand up Comedian aspect of this, and it focuses mostly on her troubles outside of her career. Movies about stand up comedians are usually pretty cringe worthy.

On a side note, "All About Ninja" sounds like the title to a way cooler movie.

Glass looks interesting. A sequel to Unbreakable and Split. I did enjoy Unbreakable, and had hoped for another installment.

Stars Bruce Willis, Samuel L Jackson as Glass, James McEvoy, Sarah Paulsen as their shrink. She doesn't believe their stories.

They also brought back Spencer Treat Clark, who originally played the son - also was in Gladiator, Much Ado About Nothing, Agents of SHIELD.

I probably don't list that many comedies.

But I think Instant Family can be a must-see.
Rose Byrne, Marky Mark, Octavia Spencer, and the new Dora the Explorer - she was also in the last Transformers. And Julianna Gamiz might be a scene stealer.

Out 16 Nov.

Talk about pissing off a full 1/2 of your audience as you lay the groundwork for a franchise sequel. Man, Ron Pearlman has stage 4 TDS, and it's going keep me from seeing his movie in a theatre for sure.

Although, to be honest, I don't think I saw any Hellboy movie in a theatre.

But like Mark Ruffalo says... go ahead and boycott.. They don't care. And it's clear, they don't. Nor do I.

As the year ends, Aquaman and possibly the Multiverse Spiderman flick. If I'm really bored and looking for something to do, maybe Bumblebee.
