What should we do to ensure that a sequel or mini series is made?

Mine is a typical story. Just saw the entire Firefly series and and ensueing movie and I want more. I heard rumors that the Sci-Fi channel is going to do a mini-series but nothing concrete. I am currently watching Done The Impossible and I am wondering do Browncoats still have what it takes to keep the show alive now that the movie didn't do as well as expected. My question is what can we as a community and I as an individual do to ensure that another sequel or mini series is made?

Welcome to the site. We're glad you're here.

We've got lots of plans for the rest of the summer. We've just finished the scifi marathon letter writing campaign, trying to encourage SciFi to do just exactly that... or bring the show back.

We'll soon be launching an ITunes buying spree for the series.. which is available on ITunes and really not expensive. There's more about that under Browncoat Events on the right of the main page.

We're trying to tie the Browncoat community together more with better communication amongst us all and that's where the Browncoat Signal Corps comes in.

We've got lots of areas that we need help with.. volunteer!

In between we're all holding til Mal gets back.

Seems that if a canceled T.V. show can get a movie (thanks to the Browncoats) then a profitable movie should get a sequel (same).

Ahoy, Fizzgig! Welcome home. Coat looks right shiny and fits so pretty. I've got a box of brand new strawberries right here (bless that Shepherd for not noticing when I sneaked up on him) and you can come up to the galley to enjoy them in good company. Buffet is being loaded up with the best of things for everybody -- and don't miss the ice-planets which are in the cooler. Bottom shelf.

More screen-y SereniFly? Only way to get it is to convince the money people that there'll be enough rumps on seats or eyeballs glued to screens to make it worth their while -- ASAP -- big time.

This means spreading the joy to those who've missed out so far. The bigger the base, the more folk watching the reruns on SciFi, the more DVDs in circulation...well, you get it.

Or someone could win the PowerBall and call Joss.
