Moonlight Rising is very pleased to announce our newest headliner....Captain Malcolm Reynolds himself....NATHAN FILLION!

Nathan will be signing autographs, doing a Q&A as well as attending the diamond party & the banquet. He will also be doing a photo shoot by himself & one with Adam Baldwin so if you want a picture with Mal & Jayne here's your chance. Join us in welcoming Nathan to MR.

Shiny. Who doesn't want a photo op with the man-ape-gone-wrong-thing and Captain Tightpants?

Jayne: Are you saying River's a witch?
Wash: Yes, Jayne, she's a witch. She's had congress with the Beast.
Jayne: She's in Congress?
Wash: How did your brain even learn human speech? I'm just so curious!

I am honestly more excited about Nathan than I have been for anyone at a con I think. I am beyond giddy right now! LOL I'm just hoping we can get the word out to all of the FF fans about them being there! So, if anyone knows of anywhere else to post this, please do!

Those of us on the committee/staff are from all over. New Jersey, Ohio, Illinois. It's a heck of a long drive from here in Illinois, but it's so much fun. We stay a whole week and make a vacation of it.

Perhaps you can help me out here...

I was interested in going until I noticed the prices of the convention. It appeared to me that admission costs $60, which seems reasonable as that is what I am used to paying for most conventions... but then someone said that would *NOT* get you in to panels, or Q&As or.. well pretty much anything at all. I'm kind of confused here.

Keep flying

The $60 is a general admission ticket, it will get you into fan fic panels, q&a's but you'll be seated behind the ticket holders with seat numbers & you won't get autographs. You also can't purchase photo shoots, dance, cocktail party tickets or dance tickets.
our idea when we did the GA ticket was for someone who was going for the first time & just wanted to check it out or for parents wanting to keep an eye on their child or a significant other not really caring about autographs. The conventions you probably paid a price like that for, I'm guessing this is the case so correct me if I'm wrong, were ones where you paid an admission & then had to pay for autographs right? When you buy a full weekend or a day pass for MR your autographs with our headliners & second tier are included in the price of the ticket. The only ones you pay for are those labeled bonus guests...does that make sense?

Ok, I'm sure I'll appear biased since I am staff/committee for MR, but oh well.

I have gone to different conventions before...run by different people. The only con I go to now is MR. I have had nothing but fun there. Everyone involved are fans, which means we all know why people are there. People want to have fun and meet their favorite stars. We do ALL we can to make it a fun time for everyone.

Keeping the attendance to around 800 makes it more intimate.

Aria does a great job each year!

Thanks for the compliment, Lor :blush I have no problems with making an attempt to do a con in the west, get me the names of some hotels & places big enough for a convention like MR & I'll work on it for you guys :)

BROWNCOAT1

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Let's see, 360 miles away from me here in Richmond. Not too far away.

I may see if I can wrangle some of the local browncoats into a road trip. Anything to see the BDHs.

I'll be traveling about 820 miles. The great thing is getting a group to ride together and split the gas cost! It's a long drive, but for us the road trip is part of the fun!!

I will be there! I've been to the past two MRs and I've had a blast both times. This year's line-up is simply amazing and not to be missed out on!
