AMITON

RKLENSETH,

We know! We know!!

Seriously, though...most of the Firefly fanbase is relatively intelligent - that's why we like Firefly in the first place =) Most of us have also been around for long enough to at least have a small clue about how much stock to put into the story.

Just the same, though, this is a group of people looking for something, *anything*, and knowing that it's an uphill battle worthy of Perseus...erm, I mean epic proportions =p The little glimmer of hope is a validation, no matter how small, that all of the prayer, and devotion, and work is maybe, maybe at *best*, beginning to move the little pebbles that make the mountain.

I can't speak for everyone, but to have people, and not necessarily singling you out, repeatedly beat us over the head that it's all premature and that there is no proof comes off as really condescending and frankly kind of insulting to me. I'm a big kid. I've been making my own decisions for decades now, and somewhere along the way I picked up reading comprehension, inferrential logic, and deductive reasoning. I understand what the article says, and what it means, and I know *exactly* how it makes me feel and the chance that I'm taking by affording myself the opportunity to feel that way.

I appreciate the effort and the concern, honestly, I do. It's nice to see people taking the time to care about others in a way that cannot possibly benefit themselves. I hope I don't sound presumptuous and condescending when I ask to let us take care of ourselves now. You've expressed your view, and it is completely valid...I guess that's it =\

Amiton.

Any news is hopeful news . The reason these sites ( and the Serenity movie for that matter ) even exist is because a handful of the faithful has banded together to recognize what a great product Joss has created . We need to spred the word , and not turn these last bastians of our free expression , ( these defiant websites ) into a memorial to a lost cause .
If E-Online wants to publicize the Series , or movie weather it is a truth , or a rumour , It's more press than a lot of shows that are still on the air are getting . Let's ( together with Joss , and his crew ) build some momentum off this buzz !
There may yet be another breath or two left in this tremendous television show , but not if we keep our hopes , and expectations low .
Keep Dreaming , and don't stop punching

Me, again. Sorry about the month mix-up. I was distracted, I suppose, by the content. Anyway, it was somewhat to the hopeful side of neutral. And anything to displace the image of the one claiming Firefly was dead is good, right?!?

BAMBINA

Just thought I would put this out here since I haven't seen it on the board yet. Kristin on the eonline board has a stated in her chat tonight that the CW is *considering* bringing back the universe as a series, mini-series, or made for TV movie. I am seriously trying not to get my hopes to high and I am sure some people may knock this down a few pegs but I wanted to share with everyone.

Sorry, sorry, still VERY new to posting on boards. Hopefully I did this right, you have to scroll down a bit to read it. Again, I am trying not to get my hopes to high but hey, she didn't ignore the question

Yeah, but in Hollywoodese, "considering it" only means that they haven't definitively said "no freaking way in hell". Still, if they're even considering bringing the 'verse back in some way, shape, or form on the CW, that's good news for us folk. Like Mal would say, "It's not nuthin'."

Thanks for the update. Let's hope it turns into something worth celebrating.

Mike

Sorry if this is a silly question, but what is the CW?

The CW is a new network coming out this fall which will merge Viacom's UPN with Time Warner's WB (meaning these networks will cease to exist). Programming from both networks will be moved over to this one network.

Oh, and play Cantr II at www.cantr.net.
