On Monday FOX posted shows on iTunes. These shows include new hits like "24" and "Prison Break." If you, however, click on FOX TV Classics, there you'll find the whole gang. Firefly episodes, all of them. It's kind of a big deal.

They're not quite in the right order though. Objects in Space is listed before Trash, the Message, Heart of Gold--I guess since they were unaired. But it would definitely be confusing for any newbies who are introduced to Firefly thru iTunes.

I'm so excited about this, I had already burnt them to my iPod but the formatting is better when its officially done.

Except that the Serenity pilot is actually first instead of the last of the aired ones.

For the iPod & iTunes ignorant folks (like me *ahem*), is it easy to put this on your iPod? Is there any other portable thingy you can use to put these on? (I *really* don't want to buy an iPod, but would be more willing to buy something similar.)

iPods are one of the best electronic gadgets out there... period

If you're thinking about buying an MP3 player, don't.

iPods use a "AAC" format as opposed to MP3 format... I swear on everything that is Holy... the AAC format sounds far better than MP3.

That's just music though... you simply cannot beat the iPod with video... you get all kinds of free access to video podcasts... you get the ability to watch your favorite TV shows, trailers and apparently you can (illegally) rip your DVDs and load them to your iPod...

Yes, iPods are expensive but you will eventually find yourself leaving the house and always grabbing your keys, wallet and iPod...

FOX... FOCKS... F*CKS... FUX... oh, now I see where the name FOX came from...

I second this. I have the photo ipod and it absolutely rocks my world. In addition to keeping me entertained and giving me something to listen to while I do mundane things at work, I've also used it for school: lecture podcasts, vietnamese listening activities, studying plant ID pictures . . .

So so useful. AND there's this little gadget that you can hook between a digital camera and the photo (probably video as well) ipod and transfer photos when the memory card fills up. Genius!

CYBERMAGE

If anyone is waiting to coordinate a mass buying, please keep this in mind:

Yesterday, "Serenity", the pilot, not the BDM, was ranked 55th on Itunes. Today it is ranked 56th. No other episodes made the top 100.

If we want to make a splash, best get started.

Remeber kids, you will only be able to play this on your computer or ipod.... itunes video is not easily ported to any other device and will not burn a dvd... doesnt bother me, but doent expect to make your own dvds. And dont forget to go and review it, 212 as of this post... And Yes the ipod is like strawberries in space.

Did anyone else happen to notice that in the "album" section of the downloaded files that it reads "Firefly, Season 1?" I might be reading too much into it, but it gives me a litle hope!

I must say, even though I am extremely anti-ipod, I'm happy that Firefly is available on itunes... It really seems to me that there is nowhere that Firefly can go except for up.

(And if I wanted to watch Firefly on-the-go, I'd watch the DVD's on my laptop... Which has a decent sized screen)

Well for one thing Ipod's are the best thing since sliced bread. The only people who dont like them are saps who send more money on inferior products.

Anways, it took me ages to find the fox section with firefly in it, (being uk their site doesnt have TV options). As I found it I will be buying it, as its only $25 and worth every penny.

Isn't this shiny news?

My friend downloaded the pilot onto her video iPod for a long bus ride to a Latin competition. She did something wrong, though, and we couldn't see it. But the idea was pretty cool.

Thanks for retorting to name calling, and for calling everything that I spend over $400 inferior to an ipod.

I just don't feel need to spend money on an ipod when I already have other things that can get the job done (maybe not as compact and convienent, but things that look and sound a lot better). The only thing that actually bothers me about ipods is the claim that they sound good over the radio.

I did the same, i spent £300 on a wicked media player that has cool features, and i thought it was the mutts nuts.

However, when i brought an ipod, i just loved it, even more so now that you can get all of firefly legally so easily.

Plus the extras are so apealing i cannot understand why ppl dont retire their Old things to the holiday junk box and buy one.

Think i lost the point of this thread, lol.

Go Firefly every one buy it again.

I don't know if this is happening for anyone else in iTunes, but when you click the button to see all reviews, the first one that shows up is by some jackoff that gives Firefly 1 star and says something about getting Titus with about 300 exclamation marks....everyone should go on there and click "no" under "was this review helpful" and maybe we can get it removed......I mean really who does this punk think he/she is Titus and Firelfy aren't even closely related, and it is definately not the place for that kind of a complaint.

That's why I never kiss 'em on the mouth

If theirs anyone else like TVCHICK then there is only one thing i can suggest, The Archos AV400 up to the 500. i own the AV420, its amazing, never gone wrong in over a year and you can view video, photos and music

Music: WMA, MP3 and MP3pro (best format out there).
Photo: jpeg
Video: AVI

also if'n you own a DVD that you want to witch on the go you can use the included TV cradle to record the DVD, Tape or TV. (this happend to be what i did, i own both the Serenity DVD and Firefly DVD and have copied both, and as an extra bonus all copies are leagal as they carry orginal copyright protection meaning you cant put it on the internet, clever huh.)

just a better suggestion than gettin a ipod if you don't want one.

I own the DVR 500 portable and the DVR 700 and I had already copied Firefly and Serenity, plus a score of other movies and tv shows, but having the ipod, with Firefly in it that I downloaded from itunes just because i could. Good deal too.
