No, not that one. One of the others.

Yes, others.

2004 GU9 is perhaps the most interesting. It measures about 200 meters across, relatively large. And according to calculations just published in the Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society (S. Mikkola et al., 2006) it has been looping around Earth for 500 years--and may continue looping for another 500. It's in a remarkably stable "orbit."

Right now, however, researchers are paying more attention to 2003 YN107 for one simple reason: it's about to depart. The asteroid's corkscrew path is lopsided and on June 10th it will dip within 3.4 million km of Earth, slightly closer than usual. Earth's gravity will then give the asteroid the nudge it needs to leave.

(This went right into my "cool stuff" folder, and I had to share.)

Causal, this is serious, what if it hits the orbiting nuclear platform, or the DUBYA* Net? We 'd be defenseless against an agressor species!

Truth be told I'm more worried that the aliens have set up a base on the larger moon in a stable orbit.

That "remarkably stable orbit" can't be a coincidence, it was clearly put there. It has a surface area of 125,663 alien infested square meters, that might not sound like much but they're mini-aliens and they've had 500 years to become smaller and more deadly.

Thankfully they clearly aren't planning to attack soon, they set up the orbit to last 1,000 years.

Yup, attack of the mini-aliens, that's what worries me.

It's only a matter of time before the Dalek production of Pirates of Penzance....

I think that moon is where Saddam hid all of his WMDs, and now it's breaking orbit because the significant change in weight made the orbit unstable (Saddam had A LOT of WMDs, after all).

That makes sense, right?

Other people can occasionally be useful, especially as minions. I want lots of minions.

More lunacy from left field.

Saddam hid 270 trillion metric tons of WMD's at the North Pole, which is why the polar cap is riding low in the water, and making it seem like the cap is melting.

Yes, there were WMD's.
No, there is no Global Warming.

The good news Chrisisall

But what you forgot to mention is that the troops watching over the WMDs brought paint, lots and lots of pain.

If Saddam doesn't make a thrilling escape they're going to paint the pole, and then the now-black ice will melt even without global warming, the coast will be flooded, and DC will be underwater.

All will be lost unless we find the WMDs and find them soon, plus, rumor has it, Saddam's genetic engineers are working on super smart soldiers:

and his mechanics are working on battle suits for them to use:

if all else fails they will be unleashed upon the world to exterminate.

HOW DID YOU FIND THIS OUT BEFORE PIRATENEWS DID???

Say Chris, I never seem to see you AND Pirate news in the same thread, at the same time....

Secret identity Chrisisall

Nor have you ever seen Summer and I in the same thread at the same time, and I do come up as River in all those tests, so maybe ... just maybe. No, not it, not true.

Still, if someone really wanted to keep their identity secret wouldn't crossdressing be a better move than putting on glasses?

Why does no one ever get a really good disguise? You know at the very least look like stereotypical hippy when saving the world and then getting a shave and a haircut when off duty (super hair-growth man) or putting inserts in your shoes so people can't do a simple "who is the same height" test.

Or perhaps a difference in personality. What better way for liberal superhero to hide than pretending to be an ultra-conservative business man.

Regardless I am neither Pirate news, nor a cast member, nor even ... well I'm sure there's at least one person here who I am not.
