THIS IS A WONDEFUL MOVIE! I got to see it a month or so back when it (and she) came to a little movie theater in my town (litteraly right across the street from my high school).

This is the sort of movie where the credits start to roll, and you wonder about a sequel, because you just don't want it to end. Its fantastic, and if you miss the chance to see it, your gonna be missing out.

I wrote a blog here that describes it more (i don't feel like re-typing, what can i say? I'm lazy): http://fireflyfans.net/showblog.asp?b=1226

three words - copy and paste

Looks utterly FABULOUS. Must be an artsy indy film, since I don't recall seeing a trailer for it... then again, I haven't been couch potatoing much lately either.

BLEYDDYN

I really wish the website was more up-to-date. All of the release dates on there are from 2004. If Morena is going to be coming to San Diego (we do have a couple of art-house theatres), then I'd rather wait. Especially since this weekend is looking to be very busy.

But if she's not coming down this way, then I may just have to make time this weekend.

FIREFLYPASSENGER

Sorry Haken,

I did not see that here before hand. Should have known.

The movie is on until Thursday, 3/24. I went Friday and then Saturday went back with more people. Its a really great, funny movie done by Daniel Kay. His first time writing and directing a movie. Has no connections with Hollywodd and is trying to get seen by word of mouth.

Anyone who can should definitely see this. The movie is good on its own and Morena is awesome in it.

TRACY

I went on Sunday, because my wonderful boyfriend pushed me to it ("Come on, I know you, you won't forgive yourself if you don't go meet your beloved Inara... and I won't either!") The movie was great, there are some very funny moments in it, and she's nothing short of amazing in it.

At the end, there was a Q&A with the director, Morena and the actor playing Jay in the film. The director asked how we'd heard of the screening, and people were shouting the names of local papers, etc. I went, "Fireflyfans.net!" Morena laughed and nodded, guess I wasn't the only one who'd heard about it through here.

Anyhoo, after the Q&A, I approached Morena along with another lady who had some wonderful Inara drawings that impressed Morena very much. I then talked to her for a bit, asked her to please sign the box of my Firefly DVDs ("because I'm a big nerd"), and she did after reassuring me I was not a big nerd. The coolest part came when I told her of our fellow browncoat Fredep's plight, what with his being in Holland, trapped amongst tulips and windmills and sentenced to wearing wooden clogs while building elephant outhouses, and how he'd wished he'd been able to come not only to the screening but to the sci-fi convention last week (where I met Adam and Alan). She replied, "Well, then tell Fredep I said hi." Shiny!

Tracy =^,,^=

ZOE: Shoot 'em?
MAL: Politely.
