Well If you haven't seen ep III yet, Then you've missed your chance to see it before you can download it. I just saw a little while ago on the news, that it is already online and on the streets. I wanted to laugh, but then thought about the horror of this happening to Serenity, bloody vultures. I hate Vultures.

I honestly doubt that it'll be as big of a deal for Serenity, to be honest. Will it happen? Probably, but there just won't be a large of a global market for it...

At first.

The copy that seems to have been leaked to the internet came from within the industry or at least that is what the news claimed.

Oh, and play Cantr II at www.cantr.net.

Yeah that's what I heard. It had the time codes running through it on screen, and dates were pre screeners I think, so yeah, insider release. I don't think [at least I hope] no one involved with the BDM would be so selfish.

Well, somebody's tired of working in film. And possibly living, once the LucasLawyers get through with him.

Not that I'm advocating piracy but...I can kind of see the appeal of sneaking a peek at a film BEFORE it's released (I admit to having watched a really poor pirate of Phantom Menace three times before I saw it at the cinema!).

But now it's actually been released, would you really want to watch a special effects bonanza like ROTS on a pc, with a time-code? I know I wouldn't waste my time.

Well, I think that if Serenity is pirated, we should all boycott it and go see it at the cinema instead - or we'll never get any sequels or series.

...and we will call it...this land...

We'll have to find a Browncoat hacker to crash any website that shows a pirated version of Serenity. It would be the right thing to do!

I agree with DietCoke. Any server with a pirated copy of "Serenity" needs to have the file corrupted and their cooling fans disabled so the system slags.

How about a nice olde-fashioned 'overwrite the entire surface of the disk with random numbers and iterate until the write arms fail'? Or a nice BIOS flash that misreports the CPU temp, causing boot failure? I personally prefer the HDD thrasher ('cuz destructive testing is fun and educational); but, to each his/her own...

Ware-ily,

I'm good with that option as well. Whatever breaks it. I'm all for education. Hopefully it doesn't come to that, but good to have a plan just in case.

I said it in another post somewhere, and I'll say it again. I'll download the movie if I get the chance. The 17 copies of the DVDs that I've bought (and the 14 copies bought by people that I turned on to the series), the 9 or 7 times I plan on seeing Serenity in the theater, the copies of the BDM I plan to buy and give away, in no way keeps me from wanting to see the movie as often as possible.

While I download many more songs than movies, I have, in the past, sent money orders to the artists I download the music of. NOT to the companies that release the music. Musicians who do not own their own labels receive, on average, less than 10 percent of revenue generated from music sales. Believing this to be blatantly unfair, I refuse to pay 15 dollas for a CD which costs 17 cents to make, and would much rather the artists recieve proper recognition of their work.

Back to the movie. Downloading onto my computer will not keep me from seeing it in the theater. It will not keep me from dragging my friends, co-workers, friends of friends, customers of my business, complete strangers and housepets to the movie.
