Well, for all of the fans of the Doctor on the board, I have good news -- the BBC have already ordered a third series of the Time Lord's adventures. Huzzah!
Here's an article from Teletext... ( --- denotes a page break in the original article)

STAR NEWS
PLENTY OF MILEAGE LEFT IN THE TARDIS

The BBC has already ordered a third series of Doctor Who and the show's supremo Russell T Davies believes that it could go on for another 10 years.

Speaking in London last night (that would be Wednesday 15th June 2005 -- Manti) he said: "The series needs to be looked after properly but I think there is a good 10 years that can come out of it. That would be nice."

However he emphasised that he would not remain as the main writer until 2015.

Dr Who supremo Russell T Davies has revealed that he approached Harry Potter creator JK Rowling to write an episode for series two. But she spurned the offer.

He told an audience at London's Bafta Theatre: "We tried her and got turned down and I am not going to crawl back in there again."

Davies is writing six of the 13 episodes from March 2006.

(Ooh, er, missus. This next bit is spoiler heavy, so be warned! -- Manti.)

Doctor Who and his assistant Rose Tyler kiss for the first time in the series finale this Saturday.

After a dramatic battle with the Daleks Rose's brain is invaded and she becomes critically ill. But the Doctor kisses her and takes the foreign body into his own system.

This is the prelude to his regeneration into the next Doctor.

Also, there is going to be a special at Christmas, so it looks to be a good time for the Doctor.

More good news. I can't wait for this series finale tomorrow night. Whole thing has been great.

This is good news indeed. I'm loving Doctor Who. Started out totally clueless about the show but I've really grown to love the ninth Doctor. Too bad the actor decided he didn't want to stay for another season. And I've heard that the actress playing Rose isn't sticking around either. I guess that's the nature of Doctor Who. You can replace the entire cast and the show can still live on.

I'm excited about the finale tomorrow as well (The show is being aired in Canada but I didn't like being a week behind. Thank goodness for the internet and Bittorrent. ). I really want to see the Doctor regenerate and we all he's going to since we're getting a Tenth Doctor.

Shiny news, have really enjoyed this series.

Was out last weekend and set the video for the wrong damned channel! Thank heavens for BBC3 - am taping their second rerun of last week's episode right now.

Yes, just enjoyed the season finale and am looking forward to the Christmas special immensely. The funny thing is, the pieces that I was most looking forward to (Eccleston, RTD's writing, Doctor Who having a modern, expensive look) haven't really done as well as I'd hoped whereas the things I was worried about (too Earth bound, Billie Piper, the TARDIS design, other writers) have all been brilliant.

And now we have another two seasons to look forward to. To coin a phrase, fantastic!

Oh, and RTD recently confirmed Billie will be in every episode next series, including the Christmas special. Huzzah!
