The road to Hel is paved with good intentions

I've been meaning to do a website for ages, and have quite a bit done on Front Page, but I now want to know where a good site is to upload it to. The simpler the better... not to mention free

Another thing is, what about if I wanted to upload audio clips for download. Any sites that would cater for that and would be easy to use/ free (or at least cheap)?

THATWEIRDGIRL

There are lots of free hosts out there. The trick is finding one that is right for you. Some offer limited daily bandwidth so you will need to consider how much the traffic you are expecting. Do you want email? Are you planning on owning a domain? I'm guessing you want a host that supports ftp and frontpage, anything else? Of course the most common problem with free hosts is the ads. Check them out first, see how large they are. Are they banner ads or pop ups?

I've heard some good things about 100webspace.com. I can't recommend them as I haven’t actually investigated, but there's a start for you.

I use myhosting. It's not the best one out there for the money, but I've never had any problems with them. I plan of changing hosts soon. I’m looking for more space and ASP.net support. In fact, I think I know exactly where I’m going, but they’re not the place for you…so…

I was going to suggest Redfoxhosting.com (I don't have a pound sign but i think it is 2.49 a month) as an inexpensive option, I'm unsure about their support of frontpage extensions.

I've also heard good things about Zesthost.com. I think $15 a year or something like that.

Anyway, unless someone else has a personal experience to share, the best bet is to do some comparisons. And always look at the comments people have about the host….always!

Good Luck Needy!

The road to Hel is paved with good intentions

Thanks for your help

I've signed up for 100webspace, mainly because it got such good reviews and its free. I've signed up at other similar sights but had trouble when it came to publishing the site (because I had no idea how to do it) but 100webspace has an easy demo to follow. Still havent done it though because I think theres something wrong with FrontPage, so that needs some bits fixing (when I find the installation disk which it asks for)

Anyway, thanks for your help and hopefulyl I'll get it up and running soon

I gotta say I love your site... though I haven't got through all the pics yet

I recently got a digital camera and can't stop taking photos. Admittedly a lot of pics are of cats - ours and the intrusive neighbours, plus the local wild one we nicknamed "The Ugly Cat". Still, there are other photos I've been taking. I love looking at photos and taking them, but I had been put off before due to the delay in seeing them turn out (and usually being disappointed). How great it is that you can view and delete photos at the click of a button!
So I've been thinking, inspired by your own site, to put my photos on the web. They're nowhere near as original and fun as your own, but nevertheless, I'd like to do it.
I thought about the one you use but you have to pay for that dont you? Yes that's right, I'm tight. But I did see a site today - myphotoalbum.com, I think. I might give that a shot
