COSMICFUGITIVE

Hi VeraSamuels! Welcome to the 'verse!

*Raises hand*

Yup. Long time Xena fan here. Initially, I started to watch Hercules way back, but I loved Xena a lot more. (Still do.) The premise is much darker than 'The Legendary Journeys'.

I loved the blend of drama, action and the fact that the show didn't take itself too seriously all the time. There were a lot of great comedy moments!

ROC is my favourite actress on the show.

(I always like the supporting cast. Michael Hurst was excellent over on Herc, Robert Trebor too. Ted Raimi, Kevin Smith, Bruce Campbell, Hudson Leick, Tim Omundson, Claire Stansfield, Adrienne Wilkinson and Karl Urban were great additions to Xena as well. )

Although, Lucy is always great too, but I've got a soft spot for the 'irritating blonde'.

I'm pretty much a Gabby/Joxer shipper. I love the interaction between these two! (Especially in the episode 'Married with fishsticks'. It's one of my favourite episodes.)

It's kinda hard to think of my favourite episode. There were too many! Although, I love 'The Debt', 'The Bitter Suite', 'Adventures in the Sin Trade', 'Fallen Angel', 'Old Ares Had A Farm','Between the Lines', 'Ides of March' and 'Friend in Need' to name a few.

Do you have a favourite episode?

I was pleased to spot Gina Torres on Firefly. I've pretty much followed her work since she played Nebula on Hercules. Do you prefer her work on Herc or Xena?
I think that's all I can write for now before I babble on like a moonbrain. It's cool to see a fellow Browncoat that watched Xena and Herc.

See you around the boards!

Battle On!

- Cos.

CYBERSNARK

Another fan here.

Both of Hercules (though the humour wore a bit thin at times) and Xena (I liked the darker aspects of it). My favourite character was usually Ares, just for his great comedic timing.

I'm a fan of both. Loved the humor, and you must admit the actors/actresses were easy on the eyes. Toward the end of both, though, I kind of gave up. Got tired of how they placed so many historical figures in the same time period.

I, too, loved Bruce Campbell and Ted Raimi. And let us not forget that our own Gina Torres made several appearances on Hercules! Can't remember if she was ever on Xena. She was one of the reasons I tuned in to Firefly when it first aired, and I've never regretted it!

>Can't remember if she was ever on Xena.<

Yup, she played Cleopatra!
She was great as Nebula and Bad Nebula in Herc. Seeing the way she and Michael Hurst sparked off each other was a kind of precursor to her and Alan. Seems to kill her husbands off a lot, that lady .

Me = major Kevin Smith fan. I had the good fortune to meet him - he was the actor in Herc/Xena who was seriously tipped for Big Things professionally. He was Oscar material. Plus he had a dirty SOH!

For the in-crowd - I've been to NZ (this time last year) and stood on Bethells and Piha beaches. Even attempted a swim in the sea!

I remember reading that the subtle lesbian tendencies between Xena and Gabrielle upset some conservative Americans (and the censors). Hilarious

I remembered Gina played Cleopatra, just forgot it was on Xena! It's been too long since I've seen either show.
