I remember John Doe only in being a nice companion to Firefly back when it was on Fox. It was not good enough for me to want to watch after Firefly was gone, I didn't even look into it. (Not becasue it wasn't good, but because I was turned off of TV in general.)

I don't know if it was cancelled at the same time, or shortly after, or what.

The reruns are coming to Sci-Fi at some point.

Oh yeah, here's what someone on imdb.com said about John Doe:

This is one of my favorite TV shows ever made. At first, I was skeptic, a guy who knows every thing and doesn't know who he is? Yeah, that is such a big deal. But after watching the premiere of Firefly, I decided too stick around. I was taken aback. The cinematography was wonderful, the constant but subtle transitions from color too black and white, the swirling angles. And yet, the plot was even better. Twists and turns fill the episode, and each one after that, and the series finale will leave you trying too catch up and awed at a finale surprise. but alas, Well never know how it ends, as it was cancelled. But it lives on in my mind, the soundtrack still echoing trough my head, the surprises I'm still thinking about.

Sound familiar? ("but alas, Well never know how it ends, as it was cancelled. But it lives on in my mind")

It was cancelled after the 1st season ended on a cliffhanger. It was kind of surprising it did get cancelled because it had ok ratings, rave reviews, and Fox seemed to have invested a lot of advertising to it.

i think the reason why that show got cancelled was because of difference of opinion between certain groups that led to nobody wanting to continue it.

Oh, and play Cantr II at www.cantr.net.

That seems to be the way of it, remember The Pretender, Nowhere Man, Dark Skies, or any of the others?
