The Christopher Eccleston series has come and gone in Canada, as has the Christmas Invasion.

Now we have to wait until ruttin' September to get the next series.

Dr Who rules. It's the best UK Sci-FI we have produced since....ever! Unless you count Red Dwarf but is that classed as a comedy or sci-fi?

Red Dwarf can probaly be counted either as comedy SF of as an SF themed sitcom whichever suits your argument better.

As far as the Doctor being the best of all time, well it always was wasn't it? The greatgrandfather of all TV SF, the first, original and longest running science ficiton series in the world ever ;]

If the appearance of things like Hyperdrive and torchwood are anyhting to go by then it looks like the beeb has noticed how popular it was and are cashing in. Please Please Please. Brace yourselves for a clutch of new UKSF proggys anytime soon. Now what happend to those B7 television rights ...

Whilst i (obviously look a thte board I'm on) have absolutly nothing aginst USSF, variety is the spice of life, and it was really nice to see bits of London (ok and lots of Cardiff) in some scince fiction again.

Greatest story ever told, yes.

First story ever told, no.

Captain Video and the Video Rangers were out in the 50's. Space Patrol was out in the 50's. Several others, too.

Hey, even James Doohan from Star Trek was in Space Command back in 1953. There was an astounding amount of radio drama scifi going all the way back to Flash Gordan style stuff in the 30's and several of those shows transitioned to TV in the 50's.

Yeh I watched the first episode of Hyperdrive and I love Mike Frost. Spaced and Shaun of the Dead are brilliant. However Hyperdrive just feels like a weak copy of Red Dwarf
