SOULOFSERENITY

The Man They Call Soul...

Okay, I know there was already a thread about this show, but I have to start a new one. This show is a guilty pleasure for me, and it's better than most shows on the air. I know they only filmed episodes this season, but the SEASON FINALE (as it was labeled) left quite a few plot lines wide open. What does everyone think about Surface? I'm curious.

I loved it, and I'm desperately hoping that a miracle happens and we somehow get more (series, TV movie, comics, anything).

I want to see Rich and Laura dealing with Nimrod.

Hell, just give Nimrod his own show and I'll be happy.

Although it got off to a slow start, its now a really great show. The season finale was really action-packed (especially the last five minutes) and left me extremely anxious to see what happens next season.

Liked it. Watched them all. Want more.

Sadly, that can only mean one thing...

There does need to be at least a few more episodes. The season finale left too many plot lines open. From what I'm hearing, it's still on the fence whether or not Surface will be renewed, but one can hope...

What happened? He see your face?

This show, like so many others, was cancelled way too soon.

I actually live in Wilmington, NC. (My office was destroyed in the tsunami two blocks from the steeple) As far as the network being on the fence about canceling the show, I do know they have already dismantled the sets and donated all of the clothing and some set pieces to charity.

I thought it had its moments of cheese but they really turned it around. Maybe another studio will pick it up. Correct me if I am wrong, But I thought I read that NBC was cleaning house for the Olympics. Could this bode well for Surface in the future?

Too sad!

all those plants/animals still need light and oxygen

the very end was misleading showing a waterworld type of NEW world--that water will recede

are all those grown up Nims bringing back the
the dino world?

and those crazy folks thought all tnis was a good idea WHY?

clones, Nims, getting too Fantasy for me
still would like to see where it goes

I really enjoyed the show. I had heard that it was cancelled, though not from any official source, so I was a little heartened to hear them refer to the "season" finale, rather than "series". I was pleased to see the main characters finally meet, but with only five minutes left in the show there wasn't much time for making much of it. Here's hoping for another season...

I quite like it. Though I was annoyed that the UK terrestrial channel that was showing it yanked it off onto a satellite/cable/freeview channel without warning, so I missed an episode... except I didn't, as I, ah, procured it elsewhere.

That's funny. I've been watching it all the way through on ITV 2.

Yeah, but I don't have reliable access to the digital TV, so I don't schedule my time around it. Except for now, of course, gorramit.

Just came across this on another site:

Yeah, we all know how useless online petitions are, but hey, any show of support. . .

Hopefully the gorram thing will let you folks sign; apparently my ISP is blocked.

I really enjoy it.
My favorite part so far has been the convergence of the two story lines. Although I did find a great deal of enjoyment in holding the two different stories in the front of my mind and watching for the parallels.

Capitalism. I want to sell out and settle down. For one day only, it's a blue light special on Aisle Three. My wormhole technology... and a free set of steak knives... for all the tea in China. And anything you can imagine to pay me... welcome to my cold war.

Ha! My thoughts exactly. Nimrod has got to be the best CGI character ever. He reminds me of my cat. If they had had Nim in the first two Star Wars prequels instead of Jar-Jar Binks.... Well, the prequels still would have sucked, but less.
